Khatun hero fest when Ubi :(

I love Virt a lot. She is so cool and fun to play with imo. (I'm gonna get mountains of hate for this though 💀)
I see so many people say she feels slow and sluggish which I just don't agree with. Especially when she can do stuff like this. Rapidly being able to run and target swap between opponents in a team fight while throwing out 400ms lights and a 500ms zone is kinda insane. When you use her stance correctly she has some wicked movement.
It's been awhile since I've played her but I've been playing her more recently and I'm being reminded why I used to main her.
I love her so much. She is so fun and complex.
Ever since her zone nerf there has been virtually zero use for her zone attack from neutral to ever be used except for GB punishes and sometimes to get externals in team fights. With light parries you can actually delay a heavy input and get a normal opener heavy for the same amount of damage and chain pressure while consuming far less stamina. As of right now her zone attack is a normal heavy that is just worse due to its higher stamina consumption.

This is absolutely stupid, especially due to other feintable one hit zones having properties on them to make them not completely useless. Raider's is a ub that chains, Sohei's has hyperaromor and soft feints and chains, Virt's is a zone that chain, Ocolotl has hyperaromor and chains, etc. Khatun is currently to my knowledge has the only one hit feintable zone in the game with zero properties of any kind on it.

The devs need to give her something to make her zone attack from neutral not completely useless.

They could up her zone damage to be considerably higher than her heavies (27/28 damage) and give it soft feints if they want to keep it as a normal heavy. They could do this and make it chainable into a finisher zone from the other direction with the same properties as well. And also allow you to chain into the finisher zone from any of her attacks as well. And for issues around parries doing to much damage they can do what they did for her bloody wrath (her double pin move) and adjust the damage values of the zone depending on how she lands it. So she gets 24 damage off a GB and parry but gets 27/28 if she lands it from neutral or in chain.

They could give her alternate zones like Zerk where one input gets you the feintable zone while the other gets you a possible Shaman esque multi hit zone with soft feint properties.

They could just be lazy and give her zone hyperaromor or something.

Just please give her zone something to not just be a worse heavy attack. Literally no other character has this useless of a zone attack. All zone attacks to my knowledge are either 500ms, a bash, or feintable with special properties added on, or a combination of all them. This makes using other character's zones actually useful. But not Khatun.

Khatun's tier one activates off her kick deflect cause when the devs gave her the kick deflect they didn't bother to actually give it deflect properties and just ripped her soft feint kick and made it a deflect option. It's also why her kick deflect can be dodged.

(Also to everyone who says that her kick deflect being dogable is intended please look at this and TELL me to my face that this is somehow intended, cause it's not)

This was a video I got a few months ago from when Juren came out and I posted it here, but after fighting a Juren who did nothing but stuff my entire offense with hyperaromor lights I felt compelled to post this again.
A character who can just press a "my turn now" button IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OPPONENTS CHAIN is insane. You can't even commit to a heavy against him cause his light still still trades and kill the chain. The fact that most characters have to sit there and just never be able to have any sort of chain pressure against him because he can just light them out of it is ridiculous.
Khatun can dodge out of her stance, that's pretty obvious. However, what many people don't realize from what I've seen is that this lets her forward heavy out of her stance and allows her to access her forward heavy soft feint mix ups. This is a fantastic tool to add more of a threat and mix to Fear and Fury and I don't really see many people use it. It's also a great tool to deal with people who react to the stance light attacks by forward heavying into her kick. You're not limited from attack out of her stance to reenter her soft feints, you can dodge forward into them and reenter her soft feint chain.
I'm gonna keep complaining about this until it changes. Getting punished for having your full block getting hit is just utterly unacceptable and not fun gameplay at all. No other full block character has to worry about their punishes landing to the extent that Khatun does. It's absolutely ridiculous and needs addressed. And while this is an issue with most defects, other defects at least deal their whole damage in one hit, Khatun only gets 5 damage from these trades or no damage at all with her kick trading. It's absolutely ridiculous that Khatun's full block punishes just often don't work correctly because of this oversight and it needs addressed like yesterday.
If Ubi doesn't do SOMETHING about Khatun's deflect punishes trading with follow up lights in the next patch I might throw myself from a cliff.
Tried to find clips I have of Khatun just excelling at being the absolute mix up demon she can be. These kinds of moments where you've done enough conditioning that they eat everything and just can't stop you is genuinely dopamine including. She turns into a human blender and it's so fun.
(Also this is the reason why her damage should probably remain where it's at. Because you can absolutely melt the opponents hp with the right conditioning so making her damage any higher would probably make her a bit of a problem)
She is so much goddamn fun man. She has so much nuance to her moveset that you basically NEED to understand to play her effectively. Like how you can delay your lights and zone from your stance to catch dodges. Or how you can stuff GB's with her forward heavy. Or how you can forward dodge heavy out of her stance to go into her soft feint and back into chain. Or that you can GB out of stance to catch empty dodges. She has so a lot of nuance and knowledge that you need to know in order to play her effectively. And she isn't an overpowered mess or anything.
Don't get me wrong, she has issues. Like she has a fair amount of issues actually. Her punishes off her full block often times just don't work and will get beat by dodge recoveries and 400ms light follow ups. Her hyperaromor zone just straight up doesn't work half the time. Her zone is now a completely dead move with almost no real use anymore outside of parry and GB punishes. Her GB vulnerability in neutral is kinda an issue imo, especially with her zone nerf and the fact she needs to heavy to do basically anything. Please Ubisoft give me some buffs man. Please fix her all guard punishes, and her hyperaromor, and make her zone not a deaf moves. Also you keep giving Musha buffs and just making him a better version of Khatun, share the love man. Like make my soft feint lights enhanced or something if your gonna give him an Undogable soft feint light. That way they're not just worse than Musha's or shamans in basically every regard💀. But all this aside she is still such an incredibly fun character to play with. Despite that fact that playing her can be incredibly miserable at times as well.
All of that aside she is such a fun character to pull shit off with. Putting the opponent into a blender of soft feints is so fun. I hope other people can check her out.

I've put 42 reps onto this character. I love her so much. She is so ungoldy fun to play. But goddamn does she suck ass sometimes.
Her punishes off all guard can get interrupted in team fights incredibly easily
Both her kick and pin punish off all guard trade with 400ms light follow ups and loose every time despite me making the correct read. And her kick deflect can be dodged by dodge cancels. No other all guard character has to worry about their punishes even working correctly meanwhile Khatun is out here having to gamble that a Tiandi doesn't press the light button or that the Highlander is stupid enough to not use his psueudo recovery to dodge her kick punish off full block.
Her hyperaromor zone off pin DOESN'T EVEN WORK HALF THE TIME!!! Like if either your ally or opponent hits the enemy in the pin it just cancels the entire hyperaromor animation, like wtf!?!?!?
They nerfed her zone to be completely useless now. Khatun was already incredibly weak in neutral against GB's because she has to heavy to like do anything. But they neutered her zone and didn't do anything to compensate so now it's a completely dead move. Which is wild to me because they're justification was to "bring it in line with the rest of the cast" but the only two other characters with a similar zone are Sohei and Raider and they have Hyperaromor, unblockable property, and soft feints off of them. Meanwhile they nerfed the one thing Khatun's zone was good at and then didn't do anything to bring it in line with similar zones like giving it soft feints (which would make sense for a soft feint character) or giving it hyperaromor or something. Literally anything to not make the movie completely useless.
The buff we did get has been incredibly useful and is an incredibly nice change, but Khatun still has chronic issues that need addressed. And it's incredibly irritating that Musha has been getting buff after buff after buff just giving him Khatun's tools but better basically, and Khatun has been kinda getting shafted in most regards. Like they gave him an Undogable soft feint light that does 12 damage. His deadly feints already did more damage than Khatun's soft feint lights and the only other character with similar soft feint lights is Shaman who's does 16 and bleeds. I only get 9 DAMAGE and have no special properties or anything!!! The only positive is that I can use them on my finishers and in neutral, which while extremely useful, feels like it falls a bit flat in comparison to both Musha and Shaman. Like if you're gonna keep buffing Musha like at least make my soft lights enhanced or something so my chain doesn't just die on block or something.

He is such a fun character to fight against clearly. He is just so much fun with that sitting in his stance in team fights with me having basically nothing to do against him because his team mates can peel. He is such a fun and amazing character that I would LOVE to keep fighting this totally fun character to fight against.
This is actually so ridiculous. Khatun's zone used to be such a good mix up tool with stuffing GB's which I would argue was a good thing in her kit as since she was already insanely GB vulnerable, and her having an effective tool to prevent GB spam was needed. But now that the zone has been nerfed (which while I understand I don't like because it makes the already incredibly GB vulnerable hero even more GB vulnerable) it is functionally useless now outside of GB and parry punishes. This is actually wild because most other heros with a feintable zone have at least something unique about it to make it not suck. Shaman has soft feints, Sohei has hyperaromor and soft feint GB, Virt has a bash, Raider has a UB, etc. Khatun needs something on her zone to make it not suck and completely useless since they decided to nerf the zone's GB vulnerability. Give it hyperaromor, soft feints, make it a UB, a combination of them, something needs to be added to it to not make it a completely useless move.
