I have no idea what im doing, pls help😭
Im planning on applying for an animation degree in Australia such as places like rmit or griffith. Due to certain circumstances im doing uni alot sooner than I expected so I dont have much time to make a proper portfollio and need to work hard and fast, but to do so I need to be aware of what exactly I should be doing? Ik there's alot of posts here about it but I cant seem to get the answers im looking for. my questions are-
- Should I be annotating things within the portfollio? If so how indepth should those annotations be
2.i understand that I should include a variety of mediums but ive only been able to do digital and basic pen and paper. Is this enough or? I was also planning to quickly get some learning done on 3d rendering on blender and use that aswell
From my understanding I should be including original concepts, charceter designs, environmental studies,realism,storyboards/comics,turnaround sheets, animal studies. Is there anything im missing?
My actual animation skills aren't all there and I haven't made anything thats rlly good enough to be sent since most of what I made in the past was fanart animations. Do I really need to make a show reel of animation for the portfollio?
My art style definitely has some anime tendencies, ive drawn alot of inspiration form various anime and fitted it into my own style, is this discouraged due to the anime influence? Also fanart is discouraged aswell yes?
