Hello. I planted this Hot Blond Japanese Maple on a mound. I used soil conditioner, a little bit of manure and compost, and mixed it in with my native clay soil.
I also placed a 50% shade cover over the maple in my zone 8Georgia area.
Let me know if anyone has any better recommendations so this little baby grows up well!

Got a Sangokaku and Bloodgood from my local Lowe’s. Planted them in this shaded area in my zone 8b Georgia soil.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated if I can improve how I planted these guys and make em last.

Pic was taken around 2pm and they’re both shaded next to two Crype Myrtle’s and pine trees.

Will eventually burn all this pine straw and replace it with mulch.
