Turning down difficulty on AMP

Greetings,

This is my first time playing the AMP mod (Ancient Mega Pack) and I like and idiot, enabled Ultra difficulty when the prompt came up in Act 2. Is there a way to go back to Normal difficulty or am I screwed and need to start over with a fresh run? Probably should read the fine print next time...

I like the idea of the mod, but I didnt sign up to fight Omni-Man and the other superbosses on top of the main game.

Also I'm looking to see if theres a way to restore my run, not trying to beat it at this level of difficulty. My head hurts from slamming my head against the wall so much.

Would these be valid uses of the Suggestion spell?

Hey everyone,

I'm doing some brainstorming for an upcoming encounter and wanted to get a second opinion on whether or not I'd be using the spell correctly as a DM.

A little bit of context:

My players recently finished a dungeon where they recovered some loot that was stolen from them, in addition to around 500gp on the main adversary. Now, the main bad guy of this dungeon was trying to sell the stolen loot to a local crime syndicate for a lot of money (1000 gp) and was awaiting on the buyer to arrive.

Here's where Suggestion comes in. My plan is to have one of the people from the buying party approach the players in their room at the tavern, and if they arent willing to give up the money; the head enforcer would attempt to use Suggestion to "persuade" them. Obviously if they make the save then none of this would matter, but in case the one fails, I want to know if I'm within the rules here.

Would the following wordings be considered either overly harmful or unreasonable?

the direct approach: "I don't want to hurt you; just give me the money and I'll be on my way."

with some more charm: "Perhaps you can convince your party to see things my way"

using some deception: "That money you found wasn't yours, simply return it to its rightful owner and I will leave you and your friends alone"

a little intimidation: "I always get what I want, and I'm not afraid to use any means necessary to do it; you wouldn't want things to get messy now would you? Just give me what I'm asking for and you'll never see me again"
