What’s the point of priority delivery when drivers use multiple apps
Ordered a takeaway this evening and paid extra for priority delivery as I didn’t want cold food. This is the third time I’ve tried this with the same outcome. After the order had been picked up, the driver proceeds to go in the complete wrong direction stop somewhere else for ages and take an extra 20 minutes to deliver the food. When asking the driver where he was going, he lied saying he had one stop before mine which I know isn’t the case as I paid for priority and the app would tell me that. The food then arrived cold and deliveroo refused to offer me a refund even though I paid for priority. I understand drivers don’t get paid much for the delivery but I just think it’s pretty crappy on the customer to do that. It’s obvious he was using multiple apps but surely it tells you on deliveroo if it’s a priority delivery. Just annoyed as I’ve got cold food and wasted money.
