hey guys so i’m starting my first year this fall i was wondering how do i take notes during lectures?? Do i need both a laptop and ipad cuz i’ve seen ppl use both, but im confused and also are there any apps u guys use?? and how should do to do good in that class. Anything helps:)

ps: im doing cs sooo if anyone has done this it would help know how you’ve guys took notes to get good marks

Just was curious about cs students gpa to know whether pursuing grad school is possible. (ex. law school)

heyy i’m going to be starting at york u this fall as a freshman and im majoring in cs. I rlly wanted to add this one elective at my timetable AP-GER-1791 The Fairy Tale: From Grimm To Disney as i heard great things about this course by my cousin who took it. She majored in CCY and i think this was a course she had to take in her first year, but told me many people take this course as an elective. I tried after july 10, where it said the course would be open to everyone still the system didn’t let me add it and now trying today it still won’t let me add it!! does anyone know why should i go to the department in person and ask the facility???

I’m gonna go to university this fall majoring in cs and i’m going as a beginner coder. I don’t have much coding experience, i took an intro to cs class in grade 11 and that’s about it. I want to be able to increase an internship maybe in my second or after my second year and was wondering what projects should i build to increase my chances of an internship?

ps: i want to create a movie/tv show generator based on what the person is interested in watching by writing top 3 genre or emotions their feeling. (I know it’s a silly project, but was wondering if that’s good to add in a resume?)

okay so i got accepted to computer science bsc and let me break it down to u before applying the averege to get in was high 80s to low 90s and heard the cut off was students with 90s, but after a while i saw ti averege to get in changed to low 80s which i believed highly increased my chances to get in and my average was around 87% and i did get in. I don’t know anything about coding took one in high school forget about it and as for math i would say im decent with it, but heard how the math at computer science is very hard and that really scares me. I know when starting this year i will be so behind even though i took eecs 1015 because on reddit heard how ppl were failing the class or getting bad grades and if i will get bad grades throughout my 4 years theres no point of me pursuing this as a career as ik i wont make it. SO SHOULD I SWITCH OUT? and is it possible to switch before school start im fully in????

edit: idk if anyone goes into cs without prior experience and i don’t if they will be successful. I am a girl so i believe have no chance in the STEM field although its always been my passion because theres always gonna be someone like a guy WAY better than me.

hey so i accepted my offer and engineering and i choose my classes and paid the deposit fee, but now i have been having second thoughts about switching to criminology? Ik u can switch after ur first year but ur gpa highly depends on it and i dont wanna risk it? SO IS IT TOO LATE TO SWITCH??? i just want to know if its possible to switch as its summer rn and classes haven’t started

i’m starting at york u this fall in computer science, but i’ve been having second thoughts about weather i should go into criminology or law and society to pursue law school and become a lawyer. Ik u can do any undergrad to apply for law school, but im scared my gpa for cs will be low.

For context i do find coding intresting and the reason that made me want to pursue cs was i took an intro to cs in gr 11 and it rlly made me interested in the feild, but now i’ve forgotten to code and im scared if i go into cs there will be ppl way better than since there are students who have been coding for years and tbh seeing that will ruin my confidence and i’ve also been hearing about the job market and how finding internships are hard and that the math in cs is difficult, but i am pretty good and decent at math and i do emjpy it more than reading and writing, but again i am simply scared. If anyone is in cs pls tell me weather i should pursue or not and if the intro course will refresh my memory and if the math clssses are easy to handle.

Okay for law im not sure this is rlly stupid but watching law and order made me interested in pursuing law and i took a law class in gr 12 which i enjoyed, so i was thing if i should switch careers to go into crim and law school? ps: i think crim is way easier and a bird program same w law school where u dont need to put the effort to become successful as ive seen ppl say law school isnot hard and if u say it’s hard ur just living a privileged life and theres harder things.
