Trying to say “Lara is trying to be black” is very sad to see and hypocritical
I love a good tipsy thought and realization so here we go,
Being on twitter can ruin your day and it ruined mine today, So Lara being the queen that she is, posted a cover to beyonce and today she gave us a dancin video. In my personal, humble, nothin burger opinion She ATE down on both.
I am black so I am on black Twitter very often, and sometimes there’s complaints and dumb hate and bullshit that just makes you be disappointed in your own people.
Why are people accusing Lara of trying to be black and use black people as “props” and the same people don’t see the problem in saying that cuz no where has Lara ever disrespected the black community in my very humble nothin burger opinion.
She credits who she is working with and they don’t realize the dancers she is dancin with are the groups backup dancers-
But what actually bothers me is how do you see black musicians and dancers killing it on a cover or in a dance video and only view them as props, as objects, but not praise them for being so good. Not generalizing everyone but from my observation, black people are putting other black people down because they want to project a nasty action that Hollywood does in fact do to black models, and dancers, etc onto a brown Indian girl who have shown nothin but respect and love to rnb, a black music genre. you would think seeing Manons fans fight so hard for black representation and black respect, and seeing black Twitter fight hard for black art, and black art being respected, wouldn’t view black artists and creatives in their element as something so degrading forgetting the fact that black people weren’t seen as full humans as some point in time, for a long time. Why are we doing that to our people?
Where the hypocrisy comes from is the fact for the longest of time, we didn’t question or criticize Bruno mars for working with so many black artists and creatives and didn’t see them as props, we still kind don’t cuz he works a lot with Anderson Paak.
Don’t send any hate his way cuz I’m mentioning him for that but why are people pushing and beating down another brown person, A brown woman, for doing so?
I understand with the whole complicated hiatus bullshit that should’ve been resolved already cuz I do think Manon wants to be an influencer/socialite, that looks like her element, she’s amazing on stage but she wants to live her life and not be trapped down to a strict system, and there’s many fans who want her back cuz they love seeing together, I agree cuz I do too, but as you get older you see some things fall out and there’s nothin we can do about it. We want answers and we want a statement so hxg needs to start being professional and just assure us as fans cuz that’s their job and not the rest of the members and its tiring holding onto hope.
All of this unnecessary hate and nitpicking and constant controversies and discourses that didn’t need to happen is so exhausting and boring. I’m genuinely so proud of all of these girls as they achieved their dreams but they’re all way too young to be goin through all of this mentally and emotionally, shit I be crying every other night cuz I hate being an adult, shit doesn’t get easier fr, but imagine their life as they are entering adulthood, my therapy would be in a psychiatric hospital and I would have to be there for a couple of days every week.
In conclusion, the jealousy, envy, hate watchin, misdirected anger, and racism has to stop, it should not have gotten this bad
