I want to share an honest hot take about how a lot of people are discussing the new EP and the group online right now.

To be completely clear right off the bat, I am not saying that it's weird to worry about Manon. That is definitely not the case. We are all worried about her, and it is completely normal to care about what is going on. But what is weird is the way people are bringing her up constantly to the point where it completely discards the rest of the girls' talents and hard work.

Lately, it feels like every single song on this new EP is getting heavily criticized or outright discarded by fans saying things like, "Oh, Manon isn't in it," or "This track would have been so much better if Manon had lines." Genuinely good songs are being completely ignored just because of her absence. It is so weird because, obviously, this is a brand new era for the group. The songs are already recorded and finalized; they aren't going to magically change them now. You can absolutely state that you miss her or worry about her, but making it a constant, repetitive thing on every single track is exhausting.

What makes it even worse is how people are twisting this into hate against the other members, literally blaming them for something they had absolutely nothing to do with. Mind you, none of the other members know the internal details about the hiatus. They are just doing their jobs and promoting the music. Bringing Manon up as a weapon to drag down the rest of the group and blame them for her absence is incredibly unfair. Every single girl in this group poured their blood, sweat, and tears into preparing for this comeback. When you constantly compare Manon to literally everything they do right now, you are completely minimizing the incredible talent of the remaining members. You can love and support Manon without dragging down the girls who are actively on stage working their hardest.

What are your honest, objective thoughts on how this era is being discussed? Let's keep the comment section constructive and respectful to all members.

Edit: Just to be completely clear, I am absolutely not saying that you cannot discuss Manon or that it's weird to talk about her at all. That is definitely not what I'm saying, and I just want to make that 100% clear. My point is only about people using her absence to downplay the other girls' hard work.

Like the title says, I know that the album (EP) sold record high copies and the tour is sold out but that doesn’t really speak longevity of a group. When it comes to streaming, the hype around the Wild album declined drastically and none of their songs are charting neither on global or US charts on spotify. Artists like Adela are catching up in streams and at this rate will surpass them in monthly listeners. IDK i just feel like their music has no longevity so people are paying for the girls not exactly the music.

so i am a new EYEKON but have known about KATSEYE since SIS era, and heres the problem in my opinion, (you are welcome to have yours and please share it!)

’hottie fruiti’ was honestly never the problem, but how they STILL market to kids in that era is.

look HYBE AND GEFFEN need* to let parents know that KATSEYE is no longer and never really was for kids. but if parents still choose to let their child listen to KATSEYE is their fault. yes ikik kids will beg and keep begging, but if i was a parent i would’ve NEVER let my child listen to ‘hottie fruiti’

(*ACTALLY they honestly really don’t because it’s pretty obvious that KATSEYE is not for kids NOW.)

KATSEYE was never for 8 year olds. and honestly should 100% be atleast 13 - 18+, because let’s be honest 13 year olds about all this stuff. but I know there are a 1 billion different arguments, but if KATSEYE want to be sexy then that is completely fine, and I am 100% comfortable with ‘hottie fruiti’ and if ur not. then you should just scroll. im sorry but that’s the truth. (also i am comfortable with ‘hottie fruit’ but I’m not comfortable with them having a slime ad in ‘hottie fruiti’)

look honestly KATSEYE aren’t the first people to do this either, look at Britney Spears or Miley Cyrus, they have been through this stage too!

and to all these people that think they are forced to do all this and don’t enjoy it. then look at ‘hottie fruiti‘ BTS and get back to me because they all seem very happy with what they’re doing.

Hey everyone! I wanted to open up a new discussion today focusing entirely on the group's vocals and musical style. Every single member has a completely different vocal tone—some have deeper, richer tones while others have super bright, high ranges.

Personally, I really like Manon's tone. Manon's R&B tone just sounds so good with the music, especially in "Game Boy." And I also like Lara's for obvious reasons!

When you are listening to their tracks, whose voice do you feel stands out the most to you or adds the coolest vibe to the songs?
