I posted something yesterday about temperatures and seedling. We have a couple 80 degree days coming up and I feel like these are dying. I’m keeping them watered but some of them are getting yellow and white spots? What does this mean? I feel like they are all headed for death.
Will these be okay in 52 degree at night tonight?
Hey All. We just got back from Curacao in April. 1st sandal trip ever and we’re ecstatic with our stay. 10/10 all the way around. Sooo…we booked another on sight on a Wednesday an got the 10% + 7% off of the entire stay. Which ended up being better of a deal than Black Friday when we booked Curacao. I was wondering if anyone has reviews on the grande st.Lucian, and how it fares as of today.
Since we booked on sight, we can change where and when we want to stay up to a year later. I heard a lot of good things about the grande specifically, so that why I made it my next sandals vacation!

Hello all, just found this community and I figured, what better place to get answers to my questions than Reddit.
I am in Maryland and the black crowes and whiskey meyers are coming to Columbia, MD. I like the black crowes but the only reason I’m considering buying tickets is because I want to see whiskey meyers.
So I’m just wondering how long the bands would play for. Like is this a black crowes show and it’s like whiskey meyers is the second opening act? Or are the black crowes and whiskey meyers the headliner with equal play time?
I don’t want to buy tickets if whiskey meyers is only going to play 4-5 songs. I’d like to see them play at least 10 songs or more. If anyone has seen this show recently, let me know how it was please.
Hello all, I had been meaning to do this for a while now since I asked so many questions before we went. I just want to thank everyone on here, who provided me with information and put my mind at ease before we went on our trip.
Nevertheless, I was totally stressed out for nothing lol. Sandals Royal Curacao was awesome. This was our first time staying at any sandals resorts, so I was nervous before we went, and I honestly think I just read into it too much.
First I’ll just say I have very few complaints, if any about our stay. We booked a Carisia Luxury room during Black Friday for a steal, so nothing fancy but unless you want to really splurge; That is all you need, in my opinion. These rooms are close to everything, located just about in the center of the resort (or at least you feel like you’re in the center). The house keeper my and cleaning were always on top of things. If you were ever passing the person who restocks drinks in your fridge, they always asked for your room, and what you wanted.
I know a lot of people complain about the beach, and I will agree it is different. However, if you have never been to Curacao, I’m going to tell you that the island specializes in breezy/windy days. The wind feels nice and everyday is about 80 when we went. You kind of have to see it to understand, why the barrier beach is a good idea. If you’re a swimmer, you still can go out and it’s about 14 -16 ft at the deepest part of the beach. Also if you want to see a lot of fish, go to the buffet and grab some bread and you’ll be overwhelmed with fish lol.
The food was awesome, no complaints really. Butches was good, and we didn’t go to Vincent’s because I didn’t bring pants, which they say you have to wear, but I talked to couples who said that they were able to eat, so maybe just make sure that your shorts are nice, I guess.
Aolos food was great, however I did notice that out of all of the restaurants, they seemed to be slower than the rest. Still very nice people, friendly service, and they were never crazy busy, just slower than other places.
Italian restaurant/ buffet/ pizza place was great. Pizza till 2am everyday except Tuesday I think. Aolos is also closed for dinner on Tuesday’s I believe. The sushi/japanese place had great food. I don’t believe that we ate at the beach restaurant ‘strand’ because it’s a seafood restaurant mainly which my spouse doesn’t eat.
Drink/bar service was good. I’m not a complainer, but there is a lot of people at the resort and the staff do their best to serve you timely and swiftly. They were pretty good about keeping track of who was next to put a drink order in. There’s a bar by the pool with a basket ball hoop, a bar by the food trucks, and a beach bar if you think that the main pool bar is too busy. The lobby bar doesn’t open until the evening I think, however they were redoing the lobby bar, the week that we were there.
Side note: we went during welcome home week, which I 10/10 recommend doing if you plan to go to other sandals, because you will meet so many people who can tell you about past experiences, and share stories with. Also we plan to always go back for welcome home week, since next time will be our second sandals trip, and you get a bunch of free stuff, like hats, cups, shirts, towels, etc.,
The staff is very engaged at the resort. Wednesday and Friday there was karaoke in the lobby. Some of the days a band would play on the beach, and other spots at the resort. One night there was a shuffle board tournament, which we actually ended up winning and receiving a $100 gift card to the gift shop! Volleyball, trivia, and other competitions in the pool. I promise that you will never feel board at sandals Curacao.
Last and final thing that I will mention briefly, is the chair situation; which I was very uneasy about before we went, reading some of the things online.
I promise at some point you will get a chair. Like I said, we didn’t have a butler so we were on our own. We did meet a few couples that we ended up hanging with a lot during the week, so we’d always look out for each other, and if we couldn’t get our own chairs we would sit our stuff with each others.
You don’t need to wake up super early, unless you want to lol. Some days we got to the pool at 9 or 10, some days 11. Did we always walk right up and get chairs at the pool? No, but the staff will move towels if no one is using it. Also just keep an eye out for people who are leaving or moving to the beach, and then go grab the open chair. I know the beach isn’t for everyone but there are way more chairs at the beach, so that was never an issue.
All around sandals royal Curacao was a dream. We can’t wait to go to the grande in St.lucia next year for welcome home week!
