Trying to get into cnc and have some questions

Hi, i do allot of 3d printing and cad work and 3d printing is great but watching machining channels has me wanting a cnc. i see allot about the makera z1 and as a complete idiot to this area whats yalls thoughts on it? I mainly want to produce my own Rc vehicle components but i also know ill end up making a bunch of other stuff for work and family. so if anyone has a better recommendation for a cnc around the same price i would appreciate it. and last question with the z1 what kinda of metals would i be able to work on?

As the title suggest i ordered 16gb of ram to upgrade the 8gb that came with my laptop. and my laptop only has 1 ram slot. so i orderd 1 16gb stick. i receive the stick it says 16gb on it, i install the stick and open task manager to see available ram and it says 24gb. I checked my order and i did in fact order 16gb. LOL so did i get a extra 8gb for free. Or is my laptop bugging and im stupid?

edit;

People are saying that there ram soldered to board or theres another slot. This specific laptop only has 1 ram slot. before i did the swap i had 8gb of ram. When i did the swap i removed a 8gb stick to replace with the 16gb stick.

second edit im kinda stupid

I wasnt trying to argue i was trying to clarify allot of peoples assumptions where wrong people said i left the 8gb stick in even tho its laying on my desk. or that its only a 4gb stick and that it has 4 soldered. the stick says 8. so i was just trying to clarify i wasnt trying to be a jerk or argue.

What it ended up being is From factory this laptop has 8gb soldered and a open slot before i was gifted this laptop someone attempted to upgrade it. and did not tell me lol and on the msi website it just says comes with 8gb. i had no clue it was soldered i should have assumed that stupid me. so the person added a 8gb stick to it so i thought that stick is what it came with from factory. well turns out that stick was faulty and it was just showing the 8gb soldered. so all i did was add a working 16gb to the already soldered 8gb. i hope you can see how i was confused and mixed up assuming the 8gb stick is what msi said it had from factory.
