Dichotomy in the shop

Got a new job at the highest end machine shop I’ve ever worked in. I did NOT realize machine shops with 3 shifts with each shift working with the previous ones set up, had such a dichotomy between them. All shifts hate each other, and it is ALWAYS the other shifts fault. There’s literally a culture of don’t trust anybody. Which is very weird for me coming from job shops where everyone gets along great. Definitely the worst thing about the job so far so it could be worse. Figured I’d post this as a little warning for people about to go to the next step in their machinist career.

Gamer rage for 18 years

Came here to state that I broke my tv in a fit of rage playing on my console. I’m done, I HAVE to stop playing. At least multiplayer games. And this isn’t the first time, I’ve probably spent thousands of dollars on tv’s, headsets, controllers, monitors, tv stands, holes in the wall. It’s genuinely ridiculous and a result of a deeper problem. like I knew I had a problem YEARS ago and I just kept playing. Ik this isn’t really constructive in any way ig I just wanted to state this to someone, somewhere. Mark it as the end of all my hours I’ve put into those fictional worlds, finally confronting what’s been beating me upside the head for years, reality. I will be there.
