AOT 3 Main Character may not be Eldian at all.

Lots of talk about them being a shifter or an Ackerman even, but I don't think I've seen anyone entertain the possibility that they aren't even Eldian at all, even though it's probably the most likely answer. It would be a good way to solve a few issues and also add an interesting twist later in the story that doesn't shake up the canon too much.

Firstly, it would serve as a good form of conflict for the character, and give the opportunity for them to question their allegiances at multiple points in the story.

Secondly, if the final battle (after all the eldians have been transformed into titans) isn't just a long cutscene, this would be the easiest way to continue playing as the character.

Thirdly, it gives more justification for their alternate gear. In the previous games this was just an unspoken game logic thing, where your character had access to all these fantastical designs that no one else did. But assuming the main characters parents came from outside the walls and taught them engineering (similar to how Grisha brought updated medical knowledge to Paradis) it makes a lot more sense for them to be constantly altering and experimenting on their own equipment past what is publically available.

Edit: It's also stated that the main character comes from the underground city on the JP website, this could give credence to the idea that their parents were hunted by the government for spreading technical information that put the safety of the walls at risk. They could have caught wind of this and used it as an opportunity to hide their kid in the underground city where no one would think to look.

Attack on Titan 1/2/3 Cutscene Comparison

I've gone through the newest trailer and frame matched the new shots to existing cutscenes.

It seems they're using the original body animations and camera motions as a base, and then making adjustments to better fit the new models, the most drastic change being the almost complete overhaul of facial animations.

I hope they also take this opportunity to expand upon the sound effects and music in certain scenes that felt somewhat lacking in the original games, We saw the cutscene with Mikasa and Eren during the livestream that played the same music as the second game, so it's likely they'll stick with what they have in most cases, but they did make music changes to certain cutscenes between the first and second game, so it's likely entirely dependant on how much new music they've composed.

Approximating town sizes in AOT 3

I've done some investigation out of curiosity and found some interesting stuff relating to the potential size of towns in the upcoming game.

The buildings in the sequel seem to be wider than before, maybe 1/3rd or even twice as wide. So with that in mind, and using the width of the main road in Trost as a reference point, we get something like this in terms of a rough size comparison:

However...The map shown in the scouting segment of the livestream doesn't seem to be accurate to the size of the actual playable map. Comparing and overlapping a few screenshots of the mini-map shown in a later segment shows that the current size of Trost is actually significantly bigger than the earlier map would indicate.

Positioning myself in a somewhat similar position in AOT 2 also seems to point toward the walls being much longer.

What do you guys think? Are you excited to potentially see towns that are more lore accurate in terms of size?
