Good resources with spanish as base language?

bonjour à tous,

My boyfriend (A1, literally just started last week) is currently trying to learn french but his first language is spanish (caribbean specifically). he finds it more difficult to learn when he has to translate french to english and then spanish, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any good resources for learning french with spanish as the base language. He describes french courses in english as "playing 5d chess while trying to do the dishes" so I'm really hoping there's something out there that's easier for him.

He already uses LinQ for vocab at the moment, but we've been struggling to find additional high-quality resources that fit his needs. Thank you to anyone who answers!

A small win!!

Hi guys!! I've always struggled with overeating to the point of feeling sick, but especially at a specific kind of restaurant (not being specific to abide by sub rules) where no matter how hard I try I would always feel pressured to eat EVERYTHING i ordered even if i was full. Even befofe my order came I would absolutely lose any ounce of self control when the free unlimited stuff came out. I would already be full by the time I got my order and still keep going, usually even ordering more.

Tonight was my first time going to one of these restaurants since coming to terms with my issue and trying to change my habits. I was scared at first because these places are usually my biggest trigger. I would leave every time so full I felt sick and in pain. I would keep eating KNOWING I was full. Like it was reallllly bad.

Now tonight I wasnt perfect, but I was a hell of a lot better than usual! I don't feel sick at all. I did start going a bit crazy on the freebies so I told my boyfriend to put them by his side of the table out of my reach (as i was mostly just going for them out of convenience/boredom anyways) and that mostly solved the issue. When our orders came, I ate the main dish then waited for a bit because I'm still not that great at telling how full I am (since I equated being full with feeling sick for so long) then I went back for some of the side items, but didnt finish any of them. AND I didn't order more! Im really proud of this since usually when I go out to eat I try to clear my plate to 'get my moneys worth' as I usually dont eat leftovers because unless its groundbreakingly good I lowkey forget about them.

I'm just really proud since this kind of restaurant is usually one of my biggest triggers!! Especially my go-to order, it's one of my favorite foods and it doesn't reheat well so I used to feel extremely pressured to eat it all. It felt like a wonderful bit of exposure therapy and a great win to end the week with after I definitely had a few moments where I fell into old habits.

I also just wanted to say I wish everyone here the best! I know how much the lows suck but the wins are truly worth recovery. Reclaiming the foods you love is awesome.

Peace!!

3 days of casual nose study

Critiques also welcome!

I am slowly working my way through doing studies of the individual aspects of the face. Ive always struggled the most with noses and lips so i figured i would hit those first until my confidence improved. I think its safe to say i can finally move onto lips/the mouth, then im going to draw them together.

I may have gotten a bit fixated on a reference that was a tad too advanced... however i went back to it at the end(12) and it looked a lot better. I tried different methods of visualizing the shape but what worked best for me was plopping down a circle and maybe a line then freestyling from there.

Ive never practiced perspective so number 9 on the second page gave me a unique challenge, but im very proud of how that one in particular turned out!! Ive also never done a value study so i just tried to copy the shadows i saw in the references.

Screen Upgrade!!

hi everyone!

I made a post recently ago about updating my setup and multiple people recommended I acquire a screen. the wonderful u/PlayStationPepe linked this particular one by showmaven (on amazon) and it was on sale for 100 bucks so I bought it! It's a great option if the room you're in is easily light controlled and you want something of decent size for cheap. It was definitely a doozy to set up (lots and tension springs and measuring... then leveling... and leveling again) but so worth it!! The actual assembling portion took probably around 45 minutes, the other hour or so was spent measuring, leveling, and finding studs.

I'm definitely not yet using it to It's full potential as I'm waiting a paycheck or two to upgrade from my cheap chinese keyspam-named amazon projector to a nice optoma. Until then, my next project for this setup is getting the speakers all wired up to my player and acquiring some blackout curtains.

Thanks to everyone who gave their reccomendations!

Looking for a 3d upgrade to my amazon projector [USA]

Excuse the lack of decor and current setup. I just moved and am working with what I currently have lol. For the last few years I've had this shitty but reliable projector from Amazon that's been my main method of media viewing as it was much cheaper than a TV, but now it's time for something better.

Room size is 13 by 17 feet but a few feet is a gaming space so i really consider the living room to be 13 by 13 feet. There is a ceiling fan as well if that matters.

My budget is 300 but can be pushed closer to 500 if needed.

Projector must be 3d compatible, it's been a long term goal for my home theater setup as I'm a huge avatar fan and want to be able to host 3d movie nights with my friends. I have a 3d bluray player already so the projector is one of the last pieces i need :D

I really appreciate any input/reccomendations!

hello! recently i've started experiencing this strange occurence where when the FOV is moved/an asset gets refreshed for a split second it flickers with a strange black boxy line pattern. It's really weird and gives my game an analog horror vibe that really freaks me out😭 I experimented and it seems to only be happening with one game, and it wasnt happening at all earlier. I've tried swapping drivers around and messing with settings and i'm still pulling my hair out over this because it's really frustrating. I've attached an inage of what it looks like, any help is appreciated.
