Stamp & color or die cut what do you prefer to use?

In the beginning of my card making I really loved stamping cute images and coloring or colorful heat embossing ; but lately I find it tiring to stamp and color so much, and I've started to prefer die cuts on my cards. I also don't really make complicated scenes or interactive cards as much now.
I also feel the diecuts sometimes look more polished to me, since I'm not great at coloring it looks more 'homemade' . But I also have no patience for lots of little fiddly die cuts or inlay cuts.
Anyway just curious what you all prefer to use.

Pinkfresh inks & reinkers final sale

Pinkfresh is changing their ink line and the current ink pads and reinkers are on final sale with some discounts. However shipping is very expensive so I'm not sure if I will get the few reinker colors that I'm missing.
And not all of the colors of reinkers are in stock unfortunately.

Glass mat is too slippery?

I finally bought the mini glass mat by we are memory keepers and I can see the appeal for ease of clean up but it almost feels too slippery.
How do you get anything to stay put? I tried the magnets it comes with & the ones from my Tim holtz stamp platform and both were useless. I finally put two magnets from the Misti on it and the cardstock moved less but still slipped out from under my stencil.
So is it just a crappy mat or do I need much stronger magnets? Do I need to use tape instead of magnets?
