We don’t need more rugby, we need better ideas

There is talk of SA exiting the Champions Cup...

SA franchises just unfortunately got a lot less money , less resources, less coaching staff, less player capacity to play for 11 months of the year in two major competitions.

This was something written a month ago, with a little bit of fantasy thinking thrown in :)

Zekhethelo Siyaya, and what we look for in a modern flyhalf

Guys I am not even sure if is polite to just post your own articles as I am doing. I hope it is not just seen as self-promotion! If there is a better way then please let me know. But I do enjoy chatting about it afterwards , so I will keep posting these unless you have some better advice for me.

Anyway, I am interested in what a modern flyhalf looks like: Sacha, Jalibert... and now Siyaya.
Is J.P. looking for his own Sacha? Was it just a little test to see?

I think there were some interesting signs in the Sharks game. Let me know your thoughts!

De Villiers at 2 and Siyaya at 10...

This weekend we can see some interesting positional experiments! PdV as the new Deon Fourie, and Zekhethelo Siyaya as the Sharks' attempt to find a Sacha... There is a lot to unpack here, especially around the new role of 10s. Let's see how this goes and we'll talk on Monday. Enjoy the rugby guys

Hi reddit people :) It was interesting watching the Baby Boks against Australia on the weekend. I wrote a piece about what this game can maybe tell us about World Rugby’s u20 law trials and what the warning is for the Baby Boks in their upcoming match against New Zealand. Let's see how things develop from here..

A closer look at Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, and our role in letting him be the best version of himself.

“These moments can’t be seized by committee. They come and go so quickly they can only be claimed by sheer instinct.”
