Utilizing Rear Space ??s

Hi, I took an Uncharted Sport and a Solterra Limited for a test drive today. I brought my large dog crate to see how it might fit. Total fail. It's fine in the old 2019 Impreza, sitting on top of the folded down back seat with a minimal list leaving plenty of space for gardening stuff. Large pots, bags of soil, you know...

Any reports on actual usage for the back?

I suppose if pushed, I can figure something out. Like just have my dog in the "trunk" area, but then there's no utility space really in the back seat. I could put her in a harness? Never done but she could learn. IDK

I had hoped I would have been totally seduced but this is a problem. As for me driving the car, I liked it.

A Trailseeker by design would suit me better, it's just so big, less range, more $$...

I have a 2019 Impreza with 169K. Rebuilt engine, no current immediate problems. I live in Northern California and rent. I'm determined to get an EV for my next car. If the price of gas passes $6, gets close to $7 I really need to think about a change up.

Safety, Reliability, Range, AWD, and cost are concerns.

The Uncharted is a good size to park in the city and has good points.

Will it hold up in 5 years. Will I be comfortable with it's range considering I have to charge commercially? Although can do late at night on my way home from work?
