Question for Girls & Young Adults: Would You Date a Farmer?

I’m genuinely curious about how young people, especially girls, think about this.

Suppose you meet a guy around your age who is genuinely interested in farming and wants to build his career/life around agriculture. His farming business is doing well and he earns a good income.

However, he may not be able to provide the typical “aesthetic lifestyle” that people sometimes associate with a successful urban career — fancy vacations, luxury restaurants, expensive lifestyle, etc.

At the same time, he is financially responsible, ambitious, hardworking, capable of growing his income, and most importantly, he can give his partner a happy, comfortable and secure life.

Would his profession as a farmer affect your decision to date or marry him?

Would you see farming as a positive thing because it gives him independence and a connection to the land, or would you prefer someone with a more conventional career like IT, finance, business, etc.?

I’m not asking this to judge anyone. I’m genuinely interested in understanding how the younger generation views being a farmer as a career and as a potential partner.

Especially curious to hear from girls: Would you consider dating/marrying a guy like this? Why or why not?
