Mamdani’s support for Haitian TPS directly in Trump’s face.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani renewed his support for Haitian Temporary Protected Status during a private meeting with Trump directly raising immigration protections as an issue of importance to his administration.

Speaking after the meeting, Mamdani said he emphasized the importance of immigrant New Yorkers, particularly Haitian New Yorkers, and their contributions to the city and its economy. He said protecting Haitian TPS holders remains a priority for him and for New York City.

The discussion comes as Mamdani and Trump continue to hold different positions on immigration policy, with Mamdani using their meeting to bring the concerns of Haitian New Yorkers directly to the president

Pitit Soyèt

https://youtu.be/rw0pZOvlNOs?is=HXoOdeW9oawadHlk

Pitit Sòyèt" is a widely recognized Haitian Creole phrase and cultural concept that translates roughly to "a child of the street" or a child raised by a hardworking, lower-income mother (such as a Madan Sara or a market vendor). In Haitian society, it carries a deep sense of pride, symbolizing someone who comes from humble beginnings, perseveres through financial hardship, and succeeds in life against all odds.

General Hospital and surrounding area looks like a scene straight out of a post-apocalyptic disaster movie

A painful image of just how far Haiti’s public institutions have been allowed to collapse. 💔🇭🇹

Haiti is exploring a potential energy partnership with Chinese technology company Huawei

Public Works Minister Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis met with Huawei regional officials and technical experts to discuss renewable energy solutions adapted to Haiti’s needs. Huawei presented its Digital Power technology, including solar energy systems, large-scale battery storage, smart energy management and microgrids.

Microgrids could provide an alternative for rural and isolated communities that are difficult or expensive to connect to the national grid. Solar panels can generate electricity during the day, while batteries store excess energy for use at night or when solar production is limited. A local network can then distribute that electricity within a community.

No contract or formal partnership was announced. The discussions could lead to pilot projects that would allow the government to test the technology before considering a broader deployment

DHS’s new anti-Haitian video 😞

The type of shit that would make me self-deport smh. DHS removing criminals is whatever, but putting fear into the TPS holder community, knowing how it affects Americans too is crazy. We get it the administration has a point to prove but sheesh.

PAP is in trouble

Not glorifying gangs but sheesh.

After recently waving a white flag 🏳️ on his roof and saying it would be best for the state and armed groups to come together, or should we say asking for amnesty. Lanmò is showing that it wasn’t a sign of weakness.

At this point, what exactly is the plan for PAP? Is this going to continue for another five years, or forever? Are we at the point of no return? For 5+ minutes, they unloaded rifle after rifle 😱. Imagine being a Haitian cop earning crumbs and seeing this, no wonder they’re scared. PAP is cooked.

A deportation flight carrying 170 Haitians is expected to land in Okap today.

Haven’t been reported by any Haitian or foreign media but Flight tracking records from ICE Flight Monitor indicate the charter originated in Alexandria, Louisiana, made a scheduled transit stop in Miami, Florida, and is currently en route to northern Haiti.

There were no TPS holders on last month’s flights that had 111 Haitians on board. Will this one have people who recently lost status and have no criminal records? If so, that’s a bad sign.

🚨TPS is now OFFICIALLY over. No Ands, Ifs or Buts.

Court confirms that temporary deportation protections for Haitians are no longer in place.

** **A federal judge on Wednesday officially allowed the Trump administration to end temporary deportation protection for hundreds of thousands of Haitians, marking the final step, for now, in a months-long case that made its way to the Supreme Court.
The announcement from US District Judge Ana Reyes comes more than a month after the high court reversed a ruling she made earlier this year that halted the government’s plans to end a program, known as Temporary Protected Status, for Haitians who fled the country in recent years amid political unrest and on the heels of natural disasters.

Another one…South Florida Resident Pleads Guilty to Smuggling Firearms from Florida to Haiti

Jean Robert Casimir, 53, a naturalized U.S. citizen of Lauderhill, Florida, pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court to conspiracy, smuggling, and violations of U.S. export control law for his role in an extensive firearms trafficking operation through which he illegally exported at least 140 firearms to Haiti since 2020.

To smuggle the firearms to Haiti, Casimir and his co-conspirators used, among other techniques, industrial air compressors that they cut open and welded back together, packing disassembled rifles and handguns with foam insulation. Casimir and his co-conspirators then shipped these and other packages to Haiti via boats leaving from the Miami area. Casimir is a former Haitian National Police officer.
