👋 Welcome to r/Cholladaze - Read First!

Hey everyone! I'm u/Opening_Nerve_6946, a founding moderator of r/Cholladaze.

This sub is a place for anyone feeling a bit "exxtra" to snark on our least favorite baton twirler! Because our girl has been known to get snark subs taken down, I'm going to attempt to police things in a way that will hopefully prevent another takedown. Please be aware of these rules:

NO DOXXING
Anything that could be considered doxxing will be taken down. This includes addresses, workplaces, family identities, etc.

NO HARRASSMENT
There's a fine line between harassment and snarking and hopefully this sub can keep things on the snark side of that line. I'll remove anything that could be considered harassment - this is for the sake of the group! We don't want this sub to be shut down!!

NO CONTACTING SPONSORS/EMPLOYERS

I read that this is one of the ways influencers will try to justify getting subs shut down. So there won't be tolerating of contacting sponsors or employers to try to negatively impact Chloe's employment or brand deals. Anything like "I contacted such-and-such brand and told them not to sponsor her" or "I sent this to the Titans so they will terminate her contract" will NOT be tolerated! We are here to snark and get a good giggle out of our mutual annoyance, we are NOT here to ruin the girl or cause her to lose her job.

Now, go forth and snark

Bridget

Is anyone here familiar with Bridget??? She is the founder of The Bar (sweatshirt brand), mega influencer, recently fought (and won!!!) breast cancer... she had an INSANE wedding. Like Chanel was one of her brand partnerships. The rehearsal dinner was outside on the street in front of the Chanel store in NYC. It was amazing and so over the top.

I ask because I was just thinking about the difference between other influencer weddings and this debacle with Chloe. Bridget's wedding was insanely over the top, it was sponsored and highly curated, featured prominently on social media (and People I think), BUT it still seemed genuine and sweet and special. It was like Bridget's first priority was marrying her husband, second priority was throwing a fabulous wedding, and third priority was the social media aspect of the whole thing. Chloe's wedding just seems like it's the opposite: First priority is curating an image for social media, second priority is actually having a fun wedding, LAST priority is the marriage.

Trolling her “fans”

She is literally just hitting refresh on tik tok commenting on every single post about her wedding to make sure people know she’s still active and very intentionally NOT posting. She’s never gone this long without a post in her life. She desperately wants to drag this out as long as possible. The narcissism is off the charts.

Deleting Comments???

Y’all think she’s got someone on her “content team” solely dedicated to filtering and deleting comments???? Her ratios are wayyyyyyy off. One of her videos from yesterday hit half a million views but only 300 comments.

Vendors and "Exposure"

Here's the thing about all these vendors, coming from someone who has worked in the wedding/event industry: the high quality, good, reputable, EXCELLENT vendors in this industry don't need to use influencer marketing. Those vendors stay booked and get paid by their clients. They don't need to trade services for views or exposure. The vendors she'll be working with are going to be one of two categories:

  1. mass produced, instagram conglomerates like Minted, Things Remembered, etc who basically let her order a certain dollar amount worth of product in exchange for a video showing the haul. It's not "extra" or elevated in any sense of the word, it's literally just a business transaction.

  2. brand new to the industry, just starting out businesses. They're exchanging services for exposure in the hopes that doing Chloe's wedding will help them take off. These vendors will probably be "fine", but the reality is they'll all be newbies attempting to pull off this illusion of curated perfection that she's trying to achieve.

This wedding is going to be a mess. She's going to have a team of vendors who aren't seasoned professionals, but rather inexperienced rookies. I cannot wait to dissect the whole thing.

I think this could be really easy, but I’m still a baby beginner and work so much better with patterns and instructions - can anyone think of something similar??? I feel like I could ad lib the neck ruffle on my own, so I guess I’m looking for a flutter sleeve, deep v neck maxi dress
