Items to help a graduate prepare for life as an adult.

A family member is graduating high school and I want to put together a small gift basket for him. Not the typical gift basket, though. A gift basket of items that will help with the parts of adulting that people don't usually think of.

More context: My nephew is graduating high school, and I haven't been very involved in his life for most of it. To be honest, I barely know him even though we've always known each other. I'm writing him a letter to let him know that I love him very much and that he can always call if he ever needs anything at all. And I want to give him something meaningful, not just snacks or dorm supplies or silly decor.... something actually helpful that will benefit him later on. We're from a small town in a rural area - life here is rather sheltered. Farm kids are tougher and more resourceful than most, so I know he's gonna be fine. But still I want to come up with some meaningful items.

The ideas I have....

A budget book

Hoping to find a short book about attachment styles

Naloxone

Naloxone because he's moving to a city and because college kids party, and inevitably, some of them will try various substances, and these days fentanyl is turning up in everything. I find it unlikely that he would try anything himself. But with the insane numbers of overdoses in this country, EVERYONE should have fentanyl.

I need more ideas, please help!
