Jax, Newest vs Oldest art

The "draw the same character over and over again until you improve" advice works

Are you kidding me?

First, Gooseworx is STILL confirming things outside of the show. But, I want to bring attention to everyone who is already saying this was "obvious" and "fandom lacks media literacy once again!"

What?

Jax's accusation was followed by everyone AGREEING with Jax, pushing Caine more, and then the bombshell of "Scratch, the first absatraction" happens. Then, Caine nervously left.

I actually liked that this was up for interpretation. In my view, I always saw it as half-truth and half-lie: Jax wasn't being controlled by Caine this SPECIFIC moment, but that Jax was right in pointing it out, as Caine has in the past. And this turned out to be canon (until Goose decides to say otherwise again). But I liked that people viewed it different ways, because I thought it was fun and made the discussions more enjoyable as everyone had their fun stance (wow nuance in views and opinions on a fandom, imagine that?)

Now Goose has confirmed it, and everyone is acting hostile to those who didn't think this from the very beggining.

I hate this fandom. I hate Goose confirming things outside of the show that either didn't need confirming, should've been shown or said in the show itself depending on the importance, or could've been left for interpretation for different views instead of a singular view and everyone else saying "actually, the other side was stupid all along. Let's laugh at them!"

Edit: I'm not saying this needed to be said out loud in the show. I'm saying this didn't need to be said at all. This post is more about the fandom reaction than anything.

Little Mermaid Jax

Just discovered Ariel was her favorite princess and I'm certain it was her first time experiencing gender envy. She's the worlds loveliest mermaid

I don't want ppl to like Jax, I want them to let me like him😭

Jax is a terrible person, obviously. He's got his reasons, and at the end of the day it's made clear that regardless of that, they're not excuses.
People have the right to dislike him. But I really dislike when people come at me for liking him. Or at Jax fans in general.
I don't interact with Jax hate posts. Like yeah man, that's your opinion on the character. You see these flaws and this is someone u don't like for good reason. Fair! It's not my place to slide into ur comments and tell you you're wrong. But why can't curtesy be given to Jax fans as well? If I see a video of someone liking Jax, the first 50 comments are about how much ppl hate him instead. Like oh okay yeah we were wondering if the most hated character in the show still had haters🫩
Or, I saw some random teenager say they relate to him. And someone replied "if you relate to Jax then you're an abuser, hope this helps!" have you considered that they relate to his want to push others away and not his treatment of others? If I relate to Cruella's backstory, do I now skin puppies?

I feel like there's this mistranslation between Jax fans and Jax haters. Jax haters seem to think that we adore him, support his every action, and believe that his backstory and relationships with others is an excuse and sob story for why he is the way he is. They think that we think "well he's sad, so let him be a jerk!" when that's not the case at all.
Most Jax fans like that he's a cautionary tale. If you stay in your victimhood, you become the abuser. That's so fascinating to me, and I tend to see most characters like Jax get redeemed while he didn't. So he stands out to me and many others.
Whenever it's pointed out that it feels like Jax haters are doing too much, (sending death threats, aggressive comments, insults, doxxing, etc), they immediately hit you with the "oh u guys can't handle when ppl dislike a bad character."
No bro, that's fair😭 I just don't like that they don't LET me like him if that makes sense. I enjoy how he's written. I don't think it's necessary to attack the fans as if we personally put Ragatha in a deep fryer.

Idk, this is a ramble. I'm sick of having everyone jump you (mostly on tik tok) for liking him. There's an entire subreddit dedicated to hating Jax-- join it and make friends ranting with people instead of sliming out his fans

I loved the ending (no spoilers)

Dude, I adored the finale. But I also feel kinda dumb cause everyone on TikTok seemed to hate it. And I'm just like "well damn, I thought it was cool"😭 Maybe I'm just easily entertained IDK.

When the leaks came out everyone was dragging it. And I remember thinking "it's probably not that bad" and IMO, I was correct on that. Even now that the full movie is out in theaters, everyone is still ranting about how much it sucked. And I'm wondering if it's just TikTok being unhappy with everything, or if I'm genuinely in the minority in liking the outcome🥀
I accept if I just have poor taste but I'm hoping that maybe there are others that really loved the ending of TADC
