Work boots in progress

Tactical pause on the cowboy boot project while I wait on a set of Mallory stretchers to ship.

This is pair ~9 for me, and probably my best yet.

Pattern is a semi-lace to toe with a hard counter like a Packer/cowboy boot. Ive found that a sewn in counter boot wears better on my feet with the strain I put on them at work.

Got the first boot lasted on a GC975/125 in 9.5EEE from lisa sorrell, and I think it might be one of my favorite shapes.

Gonna make a good attempt at a rolled welt on this pair, and the new insoles that clöe produced have been absolutely spectacular to carve; nice and flexible while retaining good density at ~7-9mm over the insole.

Leathers are a milled Acadia for the quarters, horween waxed flesh for the backstrap, counter cover, and vamp. I seem to be allergic to monotone colors and texture uniformity.

Thanks for lookin!
