This Red Raptor was basically running the whole game and parrying me whenever I attacked, so I adapted and started punishing his movement instead
I was lagging too and still made him look stupid lol

Call me crazy or whatever, but I don't think it was random that the launcher recently broke for a lot of people rendering the game unable to launch. Its been like this for almost a week now and while I am aware there are videos and posts on how bypass and fix it...Hi-rez needs to fix it.
I wouldn't be surprised they saw the uprise in players and did something to halt and kill the remaining players. We hit a peak of 3.4k or something which is more then double the average in years and the next day it plummeted not because people stopped caring or the desire went away...no...they literally cannot play the game...I feel like if this issue never happened we'd still be in the 2.5k range or at least a steady 2000 which is still a big boost compared to the 1000 average daily players
There are players who don't know or go on reddit to see the solutions, they shouldn't need to download a third party launcher or input specific steam launch codes, etc. (People quit and stop playing the game entirely because of this stuff, both new and old players)
The game should simply run the moment you run it from steam or your desktop. Server maintenance downtime/hot fixes are understandable but the game is usually up and running within a couple hours
