We’re at our last triple digit day in the PZ2 countdown, I’m honestly sad there’s still so much time left! What features is everyone most excited about and what habitats are we planning to build right out of the gate? I’m really thinking about making a huge aquarium park 🙂↕️
It’s my first wishlist Wednesday! My wishlist is much less animal based and more feature based and while I’m definitely not optimistic or expecting ANY of this, I would love to see:
Staff Vehicles (similar to JWE)
Ontogeny and Nesting Mechanics (please let the birds lay eggs for fuck’s sake 😭)
Seasonal Variants (Summer/Winter coats) and more animal variants in general
Better Family Dynamics (Juvenile mammals nursing similar to ZT2. I also saw in Prehistoric Kingdom’s latest update that entire herds will defend juveniles from predators, that would be amazing.)
Better animal shows, I feel like that’s been super overlooked by PZ, animal showcasing is so important to zoos typically.
Playgrounds for kid guests (either modular or set pieces)
More animal interactions in general outside of the small handful of socials we normally have (ex. Courting, intimidation displays, more play interactions, etc.)
More weather, potentially natural disasters.
Prehensile tail animations (I know they reworked all the climbing so this one is quite possible)
A little UI indicator about the animal’s current action, I’ve just always lived reading those lol

As mentioned in Leaf’s video, the exhibit and habitat animals share the same background color as opposed to the aviary and aquarium animals, so there’s a possibility they may be able to be housed together ( I think it’s much more possible for free roaming butterflies than newts though).
Since we’ve still seen nothing about exhibit animals and how they’ll be working in PZ2 it’s leaving me endlessly curious. And I really wanna know how these small animals will be working in the wildlife reserves if at all, I imagine they won’t be confined to a box if they’re allowed to be on these reserves 🤔
I like all of you, are eagerly awaiting the release of PZ2, so much so that I signed up for their mailing list. When I scrolled to the bottom of the game’s webpage I noticed the rating for PZ2 is quite a bit higher than PZ1 (rated 12 as opposed to PZ1’s 3 rating) It’s making me wonder how much more the fighting/predation mechanics have been improved since the first game. Let me know your thoughts!
