Do all animals wait for their offspring to mature before mating again?
I know moving the children to another habitat or keeping them in storage works but what about if they all stay in the same enclosure?

maybe an unpopular opinion, but instead of a planetzoo2, i’d love to see a stand-alone aquarium tycoon builder game.
i feel like we’ve never really had one before, except for maybe zoo tycoon 2 (but that was still a zoo-centric game). i really want something that just really dives into (no pun intended) all of the intricacies of aquarium care, allowing for more detail on models, species needs , etc.
something like the aquarium customization in endless ocean BW, but heavily expanded.
and, if a game like this does already exist, i’d love to hear about it!
This is my heavily-modded redwoods zoo, featuring streets with stop lights, parking lot, and a walk-thru park across the street from the main zoo!
Note: This is the first time I've really thought about what I want for PZ2, and that's what first came to mind—any ideas?
I keep struggling getting null barriers to work. I want to try and have free range peafowl because they're in almost every Australian zoo and I can't get them to work. Like they don't actually keep them in.
I looking for good builds that I can jump in and start choosing animals in and don’t have to build it all and can just have fun with the animal stuff when I get bored of building zoos from scratch if you have any good one comment or dm me them thank you
I went through every base game animal and determined what animals they would be compatible with, if any. If they were, then that animal would return in the base game at launch even if it was a DLC animal in PZ1. Then I would look through that animal's compatibility list, and then the next one, and so on. This should hopefully explain why most of the ones in the "In Later Updates" tier are either regular exhibit animals or predators.
But I do believe that every base game animal from
PZ1 will return in PZ2.
The Targoa Zoo world map shows 49 different animal species, 13 in vivariums and 36 in habitats. I spent 82 hours there; tell me what you think.
a different wish for PZ2 that I haven't seen much of around here, other than the classics (aquatic animals etc.) is alternative file types. We have zoos, and that's great. But I would love a more reservation/safari type possibility.
Option 1:
Animals already exist globally (as in to start you wouldn't to buy animals and release them), and you have to scout an area to set up a reserve/safari. Some areas have challenges or difficulties, like extreme weather or poaching. There are no barriers or enclosures, animals are only seperated by distance, or natural barriers (e.g. rivers/mountains) and a new employee type, the warden / gamekeeper (in addition to the existing roles) is responsible for the care. Someone that keeps track of populations, and prey/predator ratios.Visitors are guided through in a safari type experience, maybe helicopters for VIPs, private tours, walking guides, etc.You as a player still have to have the general overview like in PZ1. Guests still have areas to eat/drink/spend money, maybe even a hotel?
Option 2:
Pretty much the same idea, but you have a list of rescued animals you need to rewild. More of a rehabilitation / reservation center. Like a bad zoo was shut down, or a private menagerie was dissolved and you need to take the animals, help them recover and rehabilitate them. Scouting a location for a preservation for them to help boost numbers in the wild.
What do you think? Is there a different type of "file" you would like to see? How would you change or improve my idea(s)?
In this DLC, the guests will be able to feed the animal that they can interact with. Also, a free new animal will be added with this DLC: the Blue poison dart frog. And also new enrichments such as fish toys and fake mice toys to catch the attention of some animals. Also, new modular playground pieces. What do you think of this ?

WIP Polar Bear habitat with underground viewing for the main swimming area and what will be an underground cave. There is also a raised path/building overhead (hence the pillars) looking down into the habitat but it looks awful right now. Still tweaking and playtesting the animal requirements and guest view/pathing. If anyone has any of their own builds or inspiration please share!
My husband wonders how I am having a relaxing time spending about 2/3 hours just wrestling with barriers and pathing 💀
I also have a 90% finished Arctic Fox habitat and a 50% finished King Penguin habitat and a staff building but I find when I start doing the really detailed stuff I tend to wander to something new and go back and do things in drips and drabs. Classic ADHD 😅
Also does anybody just love how beautiful the sunrise/sunset is on the tundra map? Even though the construction is ugly I just had to take a screenshot!
I started playing this game recently, and I genuinely fell in love with the amount of customization it has, so I started a challenge zoo on medium, put a few vendors, 7 exhibits with donation bins and info tablets, I basically added everything I could add to boost guests' happiness, but my cash flow is always negative, I tried firing most of the staff, selling exhibit animals, but I can't seem to get out of the negative numbers. What should I do?
Any word if Planet Zoo 2 will feature a more diverse selection of reptiles and amphibians? I’d love to see the Satanic Leaf Tailed Gecko, Vietnamese Mossy Frog, Red Eye Crocodile Skinks and more.
Pretty inexperience on the game so might be a dumb question. I’ve started a train for my zoo with the first station facing inwards towards the centre, whenever I try to place a new station elsewhere it always faces the opposite direction to what I want. Any advice? 🙂 ps5 player by the way
sorry for the mediocre filming. took me a few tries to get a somewhat decent video.
