I’m traveling to Carmel by the sea and have access to Monterey bay and Carmel bay. Are these safe to swim in with a wetsuit I’ve heard mixed reviews.

If not, are there any places (ocean, lake, river, etc.) that are safe to swim in that is less than a 30 min drive away from

I am worried about bike time cut offs, I have a road bike with clip on aero bars. I am following my training plan but I don’t seem to be improving my long distance times when I add elevation

I have been biking 100 miles a week and trying to peak to 160 miles a week

I am estimating a 1:30 swim so with all the climbing what type of tires and wheels could I upgrade to help cut down on my bike time.
Also r there other upgrades I can get in my bike to help me gain time
