How socially dead is UCI ACTUALLY?

I was looking into UCI for college because of its premed program and more relaxed suburban life that isn't like UCLA. I've heard that the biggest downside is that it is socially dead. I honestly couldn't care more about football, so I don't really care that they don't have a football team, but I do want to be able to do some school wide activities sort of like UVA and their giant snowball fight kinda thing. Like it doesn't have to be these grand events but I do want to have some social life to spend time with friends and have like an actual fun college life. Do you think this would still be a good fit for me?

What are the pros and cons of Rice University, UVA, and Brown University, and which one is the best for a premed student?

I am currently a sophomore trying to find some good universities with pre-med programs to attend as an aspiring pediatric oncologist. My three top schools are Rice, UVA, and Brown, and I have looked into them and found that I enjoyed all of their atmospheres and the campus as well as the academic rigor and clinical/research experience.
