Looking for connected franchise to join. No preference in team

For context we’ve both been to Italy a few times but never together. That being said the only place I know relatively well is Rome. I’m looking for some off the beaten path suggestions please!

Sept 1-4 Milan

Sept 4-6 Verona

Sept 6-9 Venice

Sept 9-11 Florence

Sept 11-14 Tuscany (staying near Sienna)

Sept 14-19 Rome

Amalfi 19-22

Tropea 22-27

Sicily (Scopello) 27- Oct 3

We are training in the north (never done this before) and picking up a car in Florence. Dropping it off in Rome. Then picking up at the end of our stay in Rome and keeping it for the remainder of the trip.

My major concern is how the train experience is when you have luggage.

Anyone else on the $DRAM train?
