Why is Be an NHL Pro not in the game?

Was one of the best modes in NHL 14. Would be sweet having it back and being able to finish Crosby or Ovechkins career or playing as Celebrini or some other young star and trying to achieve as much as possible as them. Not sure why it hasn’t been a mode in over a decade.

Will Project Helix mean NHL games might finally come to PC?

Here's hoping.

The modding scene alone could make NHL 26 one of the best hockey games ever.

Be a Pro is so bad

Okay, so I am not a religious player of chel, but I recently dusted off NHL 22 and decided to do be a pro.

And oh my god. The amount of cut scenes to the bench, just let me play the damn game!

Not to mention, HOME games against Washington and Tampa and I have Jack Eichel asking if I want to go to the Lincoln memorial and the Everglades..

What a poorly set up game mode. Does it get better in more recent games?

Effect of game play sliders on online games

Hello NHL 26 folks. Can anyone please explain to me, how certain sliders in the gameplay settings affect online gaming in HUT and EASHL? I mean there are settings, that are obviously targeting the CPU which makes them not relevant for online games, at least not for the human players in them. I try to articulate my question as good as I can. There are 3 screenshots from my settings page (in German) that show what I mean. There are settings in general, skating and shooting right at the top of the specific settings page. They do not mention CPU and seem to have impact on human players too. And then, there are sliders to adjust some settings for CPU and human players. Now to my question. Are the settings at the top of the specific settings page (e.g. general, skating, passing) impacting the gameplay when I play CHEL or HUT online? What happens, when my opponent has different settings? It might be a dumb question, but I wonder how this is. TIA for any hints.

Gotta love that crunch

I’m in the second season of my Defensive Defenseman’s career, and man is it so satisfying. Scoring goals is nice but I just love the feeling and making a good defensive play. I love the tug and pull of when to be more aggressive and when to step back, just really love playing Defensmen.

Please give us custom camera settings for NHL 27

I love dynamic high to be able to see passing lanes easier across the crease cause how close it is and I like zone to be able to see down the ice and quarterback better in the offensive zones I should be able to combine the 2 and tilt zone up a little move and low the camera I mean in replays you can move the camera around. I feel like it’s a big missed opportunity. Also I don’t use fixed camera but if you could improve the FOV on it it would actually be decent.

Lag before almost all faceoffs

I'm playing NHL 26 only after it was included on Game Pass.

It's almost the same as NHL 25, but I'm having some fun playing an offline season.

What is really bothering me and I'm glad I didn't pay even 10 bucks for the game is the constant lag / pop-up freezes before a faceoff.

The lines selector freezes almost always before a faceoff, after a goal the picture of the player stays throught play. I have to pause the game and wait 10-15 seconds before the pause menu opens and then everything gets back to normal (except I had to change lines without seeing its fatigue, or couldn't even change).

The worse is the teams schedule. It freezes the menus for 30 seconds, sometimes after returning from pause menu the screen gets completely gray (but the game is playing in the dark) and I have to wait again.

Maybe on Xbox X it doesn't happen, but on my S it seems like the very old days when games ran on DOS and I had to use memmaker to try to free some memory and try to improve the performance on a 386 / 486.

And for NHL 27, I expect again the same graphics, the same play by play, the same gameplay (all the same since 24?), newer and worse problems but sure some HUT newbies.

Online Versus Matchups

Just a disclaimer I am not that good at Inline Versus in NHL 26, but why is every match up against a 900 CR or higher when I am 475? I am getting blown out every game and I have almost completely lost interest.

Best PS4 expansion and franchise mode?

I'm looking at buying a hockey game for the first time in at least 10 years, and I don't know which one to get. At the moment I only have a PS4 (and my old PS3), so both games after 24 are out for now. I don't care about the online part of the game outside of custom/updated rosters, and I usually put most of my time into franchise mode (and I love a good expansion draft). So what game should I be trying to get? What's the best franchise mode? The best expansion mode? And is still fun to play?
