Tips for Warm Springs

Tips for Warm Springs

Warm Springs (I mean those who lean Autumn in a 16-types-system), do you love these colors on you? These are the five power colors often given to Warm Springs in 16-types-systems. I just realized that I have an eyeshadow and a hat in that marigold color and both read almost as a neutral on me, completely natural. I also live in creams and tans and that sort of rust color in the summertime. If you love these colors, do you have any other tips? What kind of make-up do you love? I'm looking for some inspiration for Fall.

How Do You Wear Unflattering Colors You Love?

For me it's white and navy, and recently a darker brown. I love a white garment in the Summer, and sometimes it's also the only color a beautiful style is available in. I have tea dyed a few items in the past and they turned out beautiful ivories and light beiges, but it is a lot of work. I usually try to limit my white to the bottom and wear a more ivory top. If the top is white, I find it helps to have my hair down so the warm brown breaks up the white. With navy I feel I can get away with any clear navy that has even a touch of warmth as long as I do a peachy make-up look. Even just a dab of a really warm lipstick on lips and cheeks can help on a no/low make-up day. Other than that, I have been into a dark coffee brown lately and find I can get away with it just fine as long as it's a tank top or something that leaves a bit of skin visible next to my face. Please share you tips!

Spring Is Not Always Bright and Tropical

This is a video I just stumbled upon and wanted to share. Before I became a mod here I was a mod on a different platform and the number one reason I saw Springs being mistyped or unable to find their style once they had their palette was the cliché about Springs being constantly giggling fairies who feel amazing wearing their brightest colors every day. Ok, I might have exaggerated a little bit... 😉 But, over the years, I met a lot of Springs who loved their neutrals and wore colors mostly as accents and who had jobs where they needed to look serious. Most of them also looked very soft as far as contrast and facial features. I also wholeheartedly agree with the creator on trusting what actually works for us in everyday life. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6LLNBlFg5A
