Red hair for warm springs?

I’ve used a copper gloss on my highlights which is definitely a bit too bright for me/too orange.. are we best suited to a more auburn? I have a habit of leaning too autumn!

Seeking nude lipstick recs for warm spring

The closest shade I’ve found that is MLBB is MAC kinda sexy, but I prefer a more luminous finish. Most nude lipsticks pull muddy and purple/brown on me! Has anyone found a magic nude for warm springs? I have fair skin and a warm olive undertone fwiw.

Shades that flatter me:
Makeup by Mario in SoHo
Charlotte Tilbury in Sexy Sienna
MAC Vegas Volt (a bit bright but fun for a bold lip day)
MAC Kinda Sexy
Merit Vermillion

Was anyone typed in-person as a different season?

Hi! I have posted here before and was typed by HOC twice—once as dark/cool winter and once as true/dark autumn. After some time with each palette, nothing has felt right. The winter palette felt harsh with my warm features. The autumn palette seems like it matches, like many people would say I look like a classic autumn…but I don’t feel I shine in it. I feel like a monochromatic earth tone blob. The colors feel kind of muddy and sad on me, but it’s hard to tell if it’s just my personal preference.

I have hair that my hairdresser called a medium warm brown. It’s a bit more neutral ash brown right at roots, but as soon as it grows out of my head becomes very chestnut/reddish brown, lots of copper and gold when the sun hits it. My eyes are medium coppery hazel brown. They don’t look incredibly bold/bright to me, yet they don’t have gray and I think have kind of a clear warm glow. My skin is pale and it’s hard to say what color. AI says it’s peach. My best foundation match seems to be Glossier VL3 (very light yellow) with a drop of blue to tone down the orange. So to me, my skin looks somewhat pale peachy champagne, yet kind of neutral and sort of rosy. Idk lol.

The confusing thing is that when I was draped, no one thought I was spring. So is it even possible? Or is it possible that since I don’t meet the stereotypical coloring, everyone in the room including me had a bias against it?

Confusion on My Type / Subtype

Hello all! I am reaching out to see if the other spring types agree. I have been relatively lost when it comes to typing me, and the color analysis subreddit feels strongly that I am some type of spring. I have been told I pull “warm neutral” so I was looking at soft autumn or soft summer, but everyone on the sub has told me I am very clear and bright. I also see this, but my natural coloring is not necessarily “classic spring”. I am naturally a level 6/7ish blonde, grey/blue/green eyes, And relatively neutral pale. Silver and rose gold and wash me out, but I shine in 10k gold or champagne gold. Blues look great on me but so do yellows and oranges. I can attach images with drapes below, but I’m just so confused! Would love some help from the community!

do i look better with a bold lipstick or a more natural one?

hii i need a little help figuring out my best lip colors. i've always leaned toward lighter, more natural lipstick shades because i feel like bold colors might be too much on me, but lately i've been wondering if i'm just used to seeing myself that way. for those who know a bit about spring color analysis, do u think i suit bolder lip colors or should i stick with softer shades? would love some honest opinions and color suggestions

Bright Springs: high contrast vs saturation, which is better for you?

So, I tend to describe myself as a Bright Spring that leans towards Light Spring. I see a lot of Bright Springs here and I think, huh, I don't pull off those colors quite the same, maybe I'm not a Bright Spring? But the pastels in Light Spring wash me out (my hair is way too dark). My eyes are also not bright like a typical Bright Spring.

But looking at my wardrobe, one thing is for certain - I'm high contrast. And after feeling sad because a bright Kelly Green sweater did not look good on me, I found a Kelly Green blazer with swirls of black and white that I looked amazing in and I think I know why I was feeling so confused: I need high contrast, not just brightness and saturation. Light Spring and Bright Spring colors mixed with navy, black, dark brown, cream, white - I look the most incredible in those pieces. I have a tank top in an electric purple from the Bright Spring palette, and while I certainly don't look bad in it, the purple stands out before my features. Now I understand that if it had another contrasting color, my features would be the first thing you see, no matter how high contrasting the colors are.

Is this a thing? Because I feel like I haven't seen anyone talk about this, even though Bright Springs are considered high contrast. Does anyone else identify with this?

Exploring spring colours

I thought I was a soft summer but have been told I could be a spring due to clarity / brightness - I've included some photos in the comments of me in what I think are spring colours - let me know what you think!

I know features aren't everything but my skin tone is neutral, I tan fairly easily and have freckles. My hair is naturally a golden / reddish medium brown, and I've got clear blue eyes :)

Warm Spring - is my grey or blond hair better?

What to do with my hair?
Back to grey? Stay blond?

Pictures in comments section !

I was typed Warm Spring by Carol Brailey (16 Season Palette) and am 💯 on board with that.

For many years my hair had been grey. I tried out the more golden blond after I got typed. Excuse the bad hair color. Hairdresser was not great, but I hope it gives a good idea how I look with a warm toned hair color.

It’s such upkeep though and I wonder if I should go back to grey.

People love my grey but my eyes look more harmonious with the warmer blond and my friend says I look younger with the warm blond.

Most people did not even realize that i colored my hair but mentioned that I look so rested, peaceful, etc.

All honest input super appreciated.

To add, I am so worried that my hair turns orange if I color it myself. Hence upkeep is so much (time and money).

New MAC Lustreglass lipsticks that are spring friendly! Possibly?

Ok I feel like I’m being gaslit! So excited to have new shades of the lustreglass lipstick as well as this lovely chart. But also- I own See Sheer and Pigment of Your Imagination and they are nowhere near cool?? POYM is neutral-warm but See Sheer is VERY warm. Also the description of POYM being “cool pink” huhhhh?? (I’ve attached my swatch photo and description photos from MAC.)

Anyways I’m a big fan of brands coming out with these charts but maybe I need to begin to take them with a serious grain of salt. It seems like Frienda, Oh Goodie, Gummy Bare, and possibly Cockney are the new spring friendly finds. Might have to expand my collection….

Hydrating lipsticks for a true spring?

I'm looking for lipstick recommendations as a true spring. My problem is my lips dry very easily. My lips are usually somewhat normal and not dry only in the summer. So I can't wear a lipstick the rest od the year. But even when my lips are normal wearing lipstick makes them dry. It's a bummer cause I really like vibrant true spring colors on my lips. It completes the outfit and looks great on me. So do you have any recommendations for lipsticks that don't suck all moisture away?

I love guava and coral kind of colors. Lipsticks too light, too nude, too neutral, too bold poppy red or too close to autumn don't look good on me.

Oh, I'm in EU by the way so no amazon brands or USA only brands.

16 Color Season Warm Spring is closest to...?

I was typed as a Warm Spring by Carol Brailey and I whileheartely agree that it is my color season.

Sadly, on forums such as this here, there is not much information about the 16 color season warm spring. I am wondering abou the following:

Is it closest to the True Spring in the 12 color season system?

If I were to take some color ideas from the 12 color system warm spring, what colors would not fit? What would I have to be aware of?

For example, if a posts mention lipsticks from the 12 color season true spring, could I use that guidance as well?

I feel so left out when people share color palette clothes ideas and such.

Thank you very much

Any Warm Springs who lean Light but get washed out by pastels? Need fashion & makeup advice for golden blonde/peach skin! 🌼✨

Hey everyone!
I’m looking for advice from anyone who shares my specific coloring. I’ve figured out that I’m a Warm Spring (True Spring?) who leans a bit into Light Spring, but I am struggling so much with finding the right balance—especially when it comes to clothes.

My coloring:
Hair: Natural Scandinavian golden light blonde.
Skin: Light-medium with a very distinct golden, warm peach undertone, plus warm freckles.
Eyes: Blue-green. Sometimes a tiny bit of grey.
The Struggle:
I absolutely need a lot of warmth, but the traditional Light Spring pastel palettes completely wash me out and make me look ghostly pale. On the other hand, because of my lighter hair, some of the heaviest/darkest Warm Spring colors can feel a bit overwhelming.
I find makeup a bit easier, but shopping for clothes is a nightmare. Everything in stores right now feels either too muted, too cool, or too pastel.
If you have similar coloring:
Fashion: What are your holy grail clothing colors that give enough warmth and saturation without overpowering your light contrast? Where do you even find these colors? Any advice on shops or specific items in store right now?
Makeup: What are your absolute favorite everyday lip, blush, and eyeshadow products?
Keywords: What words do you look for when shopping online to find that perfect sunny, warm, but not overly heavy Spring vibe?
Would love to hear your best style formulas, go-to shades, or any tips you have for navigating this tricky middle ground! Thank you! 💛

What’s your best color?

What’s your best color that you wear clothing wise? It just makes you glow, you don’t even need to wear makeup to balance anything out. For me it’s coral. It literally makes my skin GLOW

Warm spring?

Hi springs!

Just got analysis done and I was typed warm spring. I have always gravitated toward the colors in my palette- I do like oranges and coral, teal. But I was previously typed as a true summer, and I tried to make it work, but I do feel washed out with the summer palette. Anyway, do you agree? Warm spring? Anyone have similar coloring to me- I don’t think I’m stereo typical “spring” but I have a hard time being objective

How to decide between light spring vs true/warm spring?

Hey everyone! I'm a redhead and interested in color analysis. I used to think I was a summer, and while I still love the colors, I realized why some of those dusty colors don't like me as much. I'm pretty sure I'm a spring, and tend to look my best in light, bright and warm colors.

One thing though, I can't figure out if I'm closer to true/warm spring or light spring. Is there any way you guys have found to distinguish between the two? I know it's not an exact science or anything, but I'm curious what you guys know about it. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been told to come here and see if I belong

Photos now posted in comments!
I’ve always thought I’m a soft autumn. I had very very few spring colors in my wardrobe, but I’ve generally had people saying I’m a spring. I’ve got a few drapes now (some things from goodwill and also my childrens’ clothes haha) and I still don’t know if I buy it. I kind of feel like the spring colors make me look sick. But I will post in comments and see what people think!

When season + Kibbe come together!

Sharing my joy! I was professionally typed as a Golden Spring (IMF system) after a year of thinking I was a soft autumn.

It’s like a cloud has lifted! I had tried adapting my wardrobe and makeup, but it felt like it was dragging me down and making me look way older.

Spring color has brought so much more fun and playfulness into getting dressed!

At the same time, I’ve been learning how to work my Flamboyant Natural Kibbe type and Natural-Classic-Dramatic essences. I’m basically a tomboy / SoCal skater girl at heart— but I’m drawn to chic minimalism. It’s been hard to reconcile the two—especially for professional looks. The consultant said “your style and your taste are two different things” and it suddenly clicked.

I wore this outfit to a conference this week and it’s the most confident, comfortable and “me” I’ve ever felt in a business setting!

Light Springs: how are we shopping in real life?

Any other Light Springs struggle with shopping for your colors in real life?

I got professionally typed a couple years ago and I feel like I understand my palette in theory, but not always in practice.

I’m sure other Light Springs know this already, but finding colors in our palette can be difficult. A lot of stores seem to have either cooler tones or super bright colors, and I personally find it hard to find things that feel like a good fit for Light Spring.
For example, I feel like yellow is one of the only colors I consistently find in stores that feels even remotely Light Spring, so I’ve kind of defaulted to buying yellow. But even then, I sometimes end up with cooler yellows instead of those softer warm buttery yellows.

My analyst explained that the main things to look at are temperature, value, and chroma, and that something doesn’t necessarily have to be perfect in all three areas. She said if it hits at least two out of the three, it can still be a good option.

That makes sense in theory, but I find it harder in practice. For example, I recently had to choose between a warmer navy and a baby blue. The navy felt warmer but darker, while the baby blue felt lighter but cooler. In that kind of situation, I’m not always sure which direction I should prioritize.

So I guess my question is: when you can’t find the perfect Light Spring color, what are you focusing on to find something that’s still good enough?
Are you prioritizing warmth? Lightness? Brightness? Are there certain things you’re more willing to compromise on? I’d also appreciate any unique tips for finding Light Spring colors more easily.

Extra context: I do have a swatch booklet/fan, but the one I was given is more of a general Spring palette rather than specifically Light Spring, so it only helps so much.
