Thank you help in finding my Kibbe Type - I am 5'6"

Thank you for taking a look and reading.

I’m 5’6” and people often think I’m 5’8”.

Please know that the only photo I have where you see my whole body outline makes me look shorter than I usually look. Propably wrong angle but it's the best I can do today.

Quite a few older photos. The 90s are calling 😂.

I think that I gain weight all over.

I look best in bootcut jeans or skirts or dresses that are not too flared. Nice overall shape when clothes somewhat hug my curves and when I accentuate my natural waist, which I think is high?

I look short and off as soon as I wear the wrong length of skirt or pants (not accommodating length). Worst is mid calf.

I can wear short skirts too but they have to be way above the knee.

Longer arms and legs, smaller face compared to rest of body.

The widest part of my hips sits actually quite low, under the hip bone.

Clunky shoes, block heels and square toe shoes do not look good on me.
Too pointy does not work either.

Two-toned or one color head to toe looks best. Prints can be a hit or miss.

I can never figure out my shoulder shape. I used to look good in turtle necks and halter tops or tops with an Indian type higher collar. V neck is good too. Spaghetti straps are not the best.

I understand that some photos are more from the side view but I hope all of them are helpful.

Thank you 😊

Mascara for Warm Spring - Love Too Faced BTS Chocolate - any other recommendations?

I bought he Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara in Chocolate Brown and love how the color harmonizes so well with my eyes and skin tone. I am Warm Spring in the 16 color seasons.

I think most brown mascaras are still too dark on me but this one works.

I would love to hear about any other recommendations.

Thank you.

Forever Curious by Mac - Warm Spring - yah or nah?

I am Warm Spring in the 16 Color season palatte.

I have such a hard time finding a good lipstick. I've spent too much morney on lipsticks that I could not try out first.

The Coral lipsticks that have been recommended her and I've tried pull very orange on me and walking around with orange lips does not suit me. Most warm ones are either too Autumny on me (drab and dark) or too warm.

My skin is often (and right now) quite tan. I am half Greek. I also have quite well pigmentated lips, I was told today, and they bleed through some lighter colored lipsticks. Not a good look.

Today I was able to try out quite a few lipsticks and nothing looked right until I tried on Forever Curious by Mac. I love it and felt so bright and good in it. But I am worried it might be a bit too cool leaning or pink? I seriously can't tell.

Anyone have any luck with that one?

Need help making my breakfast nook more cozy

I could use some serious help here in making this more cozy.

The space is 5'x7'

I am renting and can hang up curtains and pictures but no shelves or anything like that. I can not paint.

If it where to be my place I would built some benches but not for this rental.

I only need seating for two people. I have extra folding chairs if ever needed.

The last photo is of the kitchen on the other side of this alcove (looking out of alcove)

The fold up shelf is NOT in my alcove. The easel does not have to live in that space either.

I need to be able to access my windowns to oen and cloe them but full acess is not necessary.

Here is my dilemma.

The round table (39") does not work that well for me. I work a lot on my computer on this table and the roundenss makes me feel like my arms are not anchored. I don't feel cozy sitting at this round table. If needed I will keep the round one though.

I tried a sqaure one but it was too big (39"). yet something too small will maybe look lost in this space and I can not spread out with my paperwork, sewing machine, etc.

The only way to sit is at the shorter ends. Oval table would perhaps make it cramped?

I am open t a differen color of wood for table and chairs.

What about a rug? In order for my chairs to not sit half/half on rug and floor I would need a 5'x7' yes?

Pictures on walls - rather have a few smaller ones or one or two larger ones? The ones I have are stand ins for now.

Thank you for your input.

Rug made in India but found in USA thrift store twice before. Help please with where to buy it

I found this rug first in Goodwill many years ago. Then it got shabby looking after many washes and I thought I could use a new one.

Found a brand new one in another state at a Goodwill shortly after.
Now I need a new one but my Goodwill luck has run out.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It did not have a brand name tag, only a tag that says Made in India.

Gold threads woven through it. Relatively thick, definitely not made out of Saris (as google suggested), felt like cotton and was washable.

My most perfect meditation rug. Was about 5x7 but maybe smaller.

Thank you wonderful help-me-find hunters

R.C Gorman but it looks like such a different style. Name of it?

First of all, please know that the second image is from the internet because the one I have at home (image 1) does not photograph well. Mine does NOT have the signature unless it is hidden under the matting.

Now my questions/puzzlement:

I got mine in AZ at a thrift store today. It is clearly an R.C. Gorman yet it is such a different style than his usual style.

Online it says that the name is "Grand Canyon" yet when I look at the official R.C Gorman catalog there is a different picture called Grand Canyon. This image/the painting I got today is almost nowhere to be found.

It has 1980s type colors. Pinks and blues.

I would love to know more about it.

The back of the frame is covered with simple brown paper. I have not opened the paper to see if there is anything underneath but I took it to a frame shop and he said it is a lithograph print and that he sees simple cardboard undernteh the paper.

That's all I can offer. Anyone knows anything more about this R.C Gorman's painting?

It is very very special to me. My Dad's ashes are at the area where the woman is overlooking the Grand Canyon and I have a photo of myself, in a Native American Shawl, overlooking this part of the Grand Canyon. It is almost eerie to see this (in a way seeing myself).

Thank you so much

Oregon Coast - misty, timeless photo

I took this photo a few years ago on the Oregon Coast. Although there is nothing perfect about it, everytime I look at it it invokes such interesting feelings in me. This could be from the 1920s, or just recent, who knows?! I miss the OR Coast so much, it aches in the depth of my soul. I hope to be back this summer.

What symbol is on this bracelet? Turkish, Persia or what other place could it be from?

I found this beautiful bracelet at a thrift store today. Now I am wondering what the symbol might be?

Could this be Turkish, Persian, or from what other place in the Middle East (it looks Middle Eastern to me)?

What type of stone could the green stones be?

I understand that it is silver (925 stamp), but aside from that I can not tell much about it and would love to hear more about it.

Thank you kindly

What symbol is on this bracelet? Turkish, Persia or what origin?

I found this beautiful bracelet in a thriftstore today and am wondering what the symbol on it is.

Also, does this style of bracelet look more Turkish, Persian, or where else could it be from?

Any insight is super welcomed.

Warm Spring - is my grey or blond hair better?

What to do with my hair?
Back to grey? Stay blond?

Pictures in comments section !

I was typed Warm Spring by Carol Brailey (16 Season Palette) and am 💯 on board with that.

For many years my hair had been grey. I tried out the more golden blond after I got typed. Excuse the bad hair color. Hairdresser was not great, but I hope it gives a good idea how I look with a warm toned hair color.

It’s such upkeep though and I wonder if I should go back to grey.

People love my grey but my eyes look more harmonious with the warmer blond and my friend says I look younger with the warm blond.

Most people did not even realize that i colored my hair but mentioned that I look so rested, peaceful, etc.

All honest input super appreciated.

To add, I am so worried that my hair turns orange if I color it myself. Hence upkeep is so much (time and money).

16 Color Season Warm Spring is closest to...?

I was typed as a Warm Spring by Carol Brailey and I whileheartely agree that it is my color season.

Sadly, on forums such as this here, there is not much information about the 16 color season warm spring. I am wondering abou the following:

Is it closest to the True Spring in the 12 color season system?

If I were to take some color ideas from the 12 color system warm spring, what colors would not fit? What would I have to be aware of?

For example, if a posts mention lipsticks from the 12 color season true spring, could I use that guidance as well?

I feel so left out when people share color palette clothes ideas and such.

Thank you very much
