Examples of Springs In Each Sub Season (16 Season System)

It was requested to show examples of other seasons of Spring, so, here’s 4 examples of Springs in each sub season using the 16 season system by the International Image Institute. REMINDER: Each system uses different rules, but here’s my best educated guess specifically using the 16 system by the III.

Springs Mistyped as Soft Autumns

I find it very common for Springs to be mistyped as Soft Autumns constantly, especially within the 12 season system. However, in the 16 season system, none of these examples that are commonly typed as Soft Autumn, would even qualify as a Soft Autumn, because they’re naturally blonde. Soft Autumn is different in the 16 vs the 12, but even so, none of these women seem Autumn to me. Soft Autumns can’t naturally be blonde, and actual Soft Autumns shown all have similarities, but when compared to the Soft Autumns that are actually True Springs, they don’t seem similar.

Kate Middleton Green Comparison Edit

Here’s Kate in variations of green from the True Summer, Muted Summers, True Autumn, and Muted Autumn palette.

Really look at her face and skin and notice what happens. To me, in the greyer colours, she becomes more grey and her skin becomes dull compared to True Autumn. In True Autumn she gets her warmth back and her skin doesn’t look grey.

I’m aware the Summer greens look blue, but cool greens will be more blue based and lean closer to blue than yellow, whereas warm greens lean closer to yellow.

Kate Middleton is an Autumn

There’s lot of debate about Kate Middleton’s season, some say she’s a Summer others say Autumn. I believe she’s an Autumn. I believe that based off drapes I’ve done, and just by looking at photos of her and the outfits she’s wearing and hair colour she has.

I know anyone can have any features and be in any season, but Kate does have the typical Autumn look. She has hazel eyes and warm brown hair. Her contrast is medium and she looks best in muted colours rather than bright.

When looking at outfits she’s worn, she’s worn a lot of True Autumn or other colours in the Autumn season. A thing that happens with Summers, or anyone who has a cool undertone for that matter, is they appear yellow, almost sickly or jaundiced, when wearing warm colours, especially yellow or orange. What happens with Kate though is she glows. She can handle pure orange and warm browns and gold metallics. If she were remotely cool, she would not glow like she does and the clothing and hair would have the opposite effect, creating a yellowing effect, disharmony, and distraction.

It’s seems pretty obvious to me that she’s warm undertoned, and at that fully warm, making her a True Autumn. She doesn’t have any Summer qualities to her, and if she were neutral, orange would still be too much for her, too warm, as orange is the warmest colour on the colour wheel, making it best suited for people with a fully warm undertone.

To me, she can handle depth and warmth, which is why I believe she’s a True Autumn.

Really look at pictures of her and notice where your eye takes you, or what is happening when she wears certain colours. Does it seem hard to look at her? Is the colour too light or dark for her? Is it creating a certain look to the skin? Does the colour flow nicely with her, or does it wear her or sit on top of her?

If anyone would like, I might post some examples of True Autumn vs Muted Autumn celebrities.

*The last 2 slides are examples of warm hair on her*

Taylor Swift Colour Edit

This isn’t meant to be a fancy or good edit, but rather just an example of showing colours from the 4 possible seasons she could be. I still stand with my opinion of True Summer. For me, both Light Summer and Light Spring are too light for her. I find she needs a bit darker colours for it to be balanced with her. The True Spring seems too overpowering and makes her go a bit sallow.

Kate Middleton Is NOT a Summer

There’s lots of debate about Kate Middleton being a Summer or an Autumn, but I think it’s clear as day she’s an Autumn. She glows in warmth. If she were any sort of Summer, she would look better in the Summer. I’m not saying she looks terrible, but it seems evident to me that harmony is most present in the True Autumn and not True Summer. In True Summer there’s disconnection - not flow.

True Autumn = Left. True Summer = Right

Taylor Swift Chroma (Muted, Medium, Bright)

Here are drapes of chroma tested against Taylor. Which one does she look best against? Which one can you clearly see her face and not have the colour be overpowering or underpowering? Is it easy to look at her face, or is it distracting?

True Summers have fully muted chroma, Light Summers medium-muted chroma, True Springs fully bright chroma, and Light Springs medium-bright chroma. The first slide is fully muted vs fully bright. Second slide is muted and medium, third slide is medium and bright. If she’s medium she’ll look better in one medium based on whether she leans more muted or bright. So if she’s medium muted for example, she’ll look better in the muted vs medium slide rather than the medium vs bright slide.

Taylor Swift Colour Analysis

I Agree With Carol Brailey That Taylor Swift is a True Summer

\*TRUE SUMMER = LEFT. TRUE SPRING = RIGHT\*

There’s always debate with a couple celebrities and what season they are. For some odd reason, the people who use the 12 system always say the opposite of the people who use the 16-23. For example, Kate Middleton and Justin Bieber. Kate is typed a Summer in the 12, while Justin is typed an Autumn, but in the 16, Kate is typed an Autumn and Justin a Summer.

Anyways, I agree with Carol because she’s been in the industry for some time now, and has had loads of experience, especially with virtual analysis. However, that’s not the only reason why I trust her opinion the most. I’ve done my own drapes and compared True Summer vs True Spring, and can obviously see she leans cool.

It’s important to remember that brighter doesn’t always mean better when it comes to a colour. Obviously, True Spring will be brighter than True Summer because it’s fully bright in chroma, while True Summer is the exact opposite being fully muted in chroma.

It’s important to really pay attention to her face and see what’s happening. What I find that happens a lot with fully cool toned people, is that they appear a bit yellow when put in warm colours, which is what I see happening to Taylor when in the Spring colours. What also happens is that it becomes difficult to look at them, like you can’t really seem to focus because the colours distracting and competing with you. With the right colour, you should be able to fully focus and clearly see their face, and what happens is you tend to stare at their eyes, that’s colour harmony.

I know Taylor doesn’t look like the typical True Summer, as she has blonde hair and people more commonly see brunette True Summers, but I believe her undertone is fully cool and her chroma fully muted. If she were Light Spring or Light Summer, then True Spring wouldn’t be an obvious no.

I can only show so many pictures, but I will share True Summer vs Light Summer next.

Let me know if there’s any other celebrities you’re curious about.

16 Season System POC Examples Requests

I am currently working on examples of POC in hopefully each of the seasons in the 16 season system, which is the system by the International Image Institute. I have done a few people so far, but wanted to see if anyone had requests of a certain person they would like to see.

Photo Notepad Scam

I’m starting to see a pattern. I’ve noticed that there will be someone selling a doll or dolls and have a notepad with their name on it, but it doesn’t look like it’s been written on, it looks like the writing is sitting on top of the pad like it’s been edited on there, and looks similar handwriting to another person’s post, most likely because it’s AI. Their profile will also be empty and have only the singular post itself.

See on the photos how the ‘ea’ and ‘L’ are the exact same. Notice how it doesn’t look like it’s been written on, but instead placed on. Notice how pic #4 looks like it’s actually been written on (just used photo for example).

I think I’m being scammed…

I made a post seeking out specific dolls and someone replied saying that their sister was selling the dolls for a good price, and then they gave me the link to their sisters profile. I messaged the sister and asked about the dolls. The dolls she was selling that I as interested in were The Nightmare Before Christmas, Greta Gremlin, and Dracula. She was selling them all together for about $450, individually, NBC $150, Dracula $91, and Greta Gremlin $210. I asked for pictures and she sent me a picture of the Greta Gremlin box and Nightmare Before Christmas box side by side with a notepad with her name and date on it. I haven’t sent any money, but I decided to look back at the picture, and it almost seemed like the writing was sitting on top of the notepad. I put the image into google and came across the same picture with someone else’s name on it from Facebook dated back 2 years. I’ve messaged the original poster, but this is disappointing. She was asking me a lot of questions like when i began collecting and being very “affectionate” with her responses, like calling me “lovely”. I’m a little scared though because I’ve shared my address, postal code, and city. I’ve blurred out the name, but this is the photo they used.

Braces Trauma

When I was 15, I got braces, like most people do when they’re a teenager. I thought that it would just be a simple thing that would be over in a couple of years, and I would get my nice straight smile at the end. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case and I’ve ended up with more damage from braces that’s irreversible, than what I started with.

I’ve had lots of baby teeth extracted, can’t exactly remember why, but it was my old orthodontist’s plan. At 15, when I was getting ready to start my braces journey, my orthodontist retired and a new one took over. Before I got my braces, I had my first premolars removed on the top, this is called “Extraction Retraction”, a common but outdated practice that’s used to “make more room” when really it does the opposite and expansion is now being used to actually make more room to fit all the teeth, instead of removing teeth just to straighten them. I wasn’t aware at the time that it was a bad thing and neither were my parents, I don’t anyone really explains procedures like this and we never considered alternatives because most people just trust the people in-charge that are orthodontists and don’t seek a second opinion from another one or other methods. I never found out till 18 that the teeth I had taken out were my premolars and not my baby teeth. After finding out I had 12 top teeth and 14 bottom teeth, I went down a rabbit hole of information about teeth and myofunctional therapy, that made me very depressed because of finding out what happened to me.

I had braces for about 3 years and 5 months. During that time, I had elastic bands that I wore sometimes, which I think is what caused one of my problems. Just before getting my braces off, my dentist was concerned and wanted to take x-rays. There I found out that I had severe root resorption in my top 4 front teeth (over half my roots), and some resorption on my bottom 4 front teeth. It was depressing learning that at just 18, that I had already had 2 perfectly healthy teeth removed, and that now I could potentially lose more teeth.

It was brought up at an orthodontist visit, but it never seemed like he truly cared. One visit, I was getting my wire and bands changed, and he was ready to put on a power chain on my top jaw, completely forgetting the resorption I had, until the assistant had to remind him. I never really completed my braces journey, at least the one he had planned, because any further moving could cause more damage and I still had gaps and unevenness in my jaws, which is another issue that was never addressed.

I feel like he never listened to me. I was concerned with the unevenness in my jaws, I mean they were totally crooked and only one side could truly close. He said it was a skeletal thing and that surgery could do more harm than good. One time I was prepared to have a sit-down conversation with him, that’s what I wanted, but when I got there, I was sat in a chair and had my wire and elastics taken off and had to explain while I was laying down in the chair. I had told him about the unevenness and how it looked crooked and how only one side could bite down, but then he suggested shaving down some teeth and he could see the crookedness, but it wasn’t just a looks thing, it was an thing, my jaws didn’t just look crooked, they were crooked. I’m a people pleaser and was more shy and nervous then than I am now, but I wish I didn’t let him shave them down, I wish I would’ve advocated for myself more, I wish I could never have gotten braces in the first place. Him shaving teeth down didn’t help or fix anything.

After doing lots of research and finding out about myofunctional therapy, I found someone in my area and sought out treatment there. I was told to just have my braces removed so that they could begin treatment. I had concerns about my bite, palate width, and my face being recessed.

I’ve never liked my side profile, it’s something that has always bothered me and after sometime of having braces, I got a big double chin, which I thought was because of my weight or genetics, but I was confused when other people my weight or heavier than me had no double chin and I did. Turns out my whole face was recessed, meaning I had no forward growth in my face like a should and that’s not good for airway function. I knew something was off about my side profile and when I found out it was recessed, I wondered if I would need jaw surgery. My orthodontist never mentioned anything about jaw surgery, even though it’s something he recommends patients for sometimes, and if you just look at me them, it was obvious that my face was not grown forward like it should be and was very flat.

It’s been hard living like this, I’m scared for my teeth all the time. Currently, I’m doing myofunctional therapy and some treatments with the A.L.F appliance and MyoBrace, which are not invasive like braces and shouldn’t cause anymore damage to my roots. I have asked a ton of questions about expansion and M.A.R.P.E., but they think that it would be too invasive and not necessary but also could harm my roots since it’s rapid expansion. They’re hoping my face will naturally grow forward and I won’t need jaw surgery, but I’m wondering if I should get it anyway. I think I would do it anyway if I needed to. I would be scared but I would be more excited for a better looking face. I’ve already seen improvements in my face, and my face is slightly more forward than before, but I also need to keep up with the exercises as I’ve been bad at that’s which is probably why progress is taking longer.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience and that seeking out options can be beneficial. I highly recommend myofunctional therapy for any on because it addresses root causes of crooked teeth, improper swallowing, sleep disorders, jaw issues, tongue ties, and more. You’d be surprised how much exercises can help the mouth and how it’s connected to the rest of your body and things like posture. You may have heard of “looksmaxing” or “mewing”, which I guess explains some of it, they’re not totally wrong, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about function and breathing and how certain habits can cause certain things, like your face developing properly into having a forward grown jaw, or improperly with recessed, downward jaws, most likely due to mouth breathing.

Monster High Reel Drama Dolls

I was wondering if the Reel Drama line will be re-released anytime soon, because I’m having trouble finding some for a reasonable price. So far, I only have Cleo, and she was $40.23. Some of the other ones I see, go from $60-$400. Hopefully Matell will release a Reel Drama Ghoulia, and then re-release the others.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space Amazon Release Canada.

For some reason, the doll is releasing on June 30 for Canada on Amazon.

u/Extra_Air7604 — 3 months ago

Has anyone from Canada ordered from Mattel.com?

It’s been hard trying to look for the nice dolls that interest you and trying to find them at reasonable prices. I’ve checked Mattel’s website but everything is sold out, but other than that, I’ve noticed the original prices, even them being displayed in CAD. Whenever I look for Skullectors like the Nightmare Before Christmas, Gremlins, Drama Reel, etc. they’re always so overpriced compared to its original retail price. For example, The Nightmare Before Christmas was originally retailed at $90.00 CAD on the Mattel website, at least from what I can see, I’m not sure if that’s correct or not, but now, trying to get them, they go for up to $700 or more, same with the Gremlins one, going up to $1,000 or more, the cheapest one I recently saw went for $700. So far, I’ve been able to buy The Creature from the Black Lagoon, but it was $215, which is honestly not bad compared to a bunch of other prices I’ve seen.

Just got the Reel Drama Cleo and the Wednesday Show Morticia Addams. Hoping to get the other Reel Drama ones soon, hope they make a Ghoulia one as well since she’s a part of the main ghouls.

As of late I’ve been thinking of collecting some Monster High dolls, and so far I’ve purchased a couple. I think I want to get all the original designs, it doesn’t matter whether it’s from when they first released or a creeproduction, as long as it’s the original design. Ive also wanted to get all the drama reel dolls, but can’t seem to find reasonable priced ones, so far I’ve purchased Cleo and will hopefully be purchasing Frankie. Anyways, I’ve been spending quite a bit and don’t know if I can purchase all of these creepos at the same time. Robecca, Rochelle, and Venus are all available on Amazon, but I think I’ll get them later, so far my options are:

Frankie, Draculaura, Lagoona, Clawdeen, Ghoulia, Operetta, or Toralei.

I’m also on the hunt for a reasonably priced Jack and Sally, Greta Gremlin, Hocus Pocus, and maybe Frankenstein and his bride.

I know this might seem like a stupid question or maybe I’m overthinking this, but I’m wondering if I should collect Monster High dolls. I had some Monster High dolls as a kid, but gave them away at some point, and now I’m wondering if I should collect them. For my birthday, I got a Wednesday Rave’n Dance doll, it was not something I asked for, but I do like it. I tend to overthink things and question the meaning of things, but I’m wondering if I do collect, is it a waste of money? What am I going to really do with these dolls? Should I only collect some? Should I use my money for something else? But then again, what would be considered a better use of my money? Omen is meant to be spent, but I’m kind of worried I might get bored or that I would be making a mistake for collecting dolls. I do really like the Nightmare Before Christmas dolls, The Corpse Bride, Hocus Pocus, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Drama Reel dolls the most. If I did collect, I’m debating whether to get only certain ones, or try and get every doll ever made, sort of, (not Gen 2 they’re ugly, and potentially not Gen 3, it’s hit and miss with some of them). I’ve also maybe wanted to customize a doll, but would try and get one from a thrift store and not an expensive one that’s in good condition. I know this seems weird/stupid, but this is my weird thought process into a new hobby potentially.

Has anyone ever made a Monster High character from a Disney Princess doll? I’ve been watching some doll customization on YouTube, specifically Hextian and the Monster High characters made from old style Barbie mold faces, and I’ve always wondered what some of the Monster High characters would look like in the style of the Disney Princess dolls specifically made from the Disney company and not other brands. Some of the Disney Princess dolls are really pretty and well made. It would be cool to see Frankie or Draculaura made from a Snow White doll. I think Snow White’s base would be good for those two or maybe Belle for Frankie. I also think Once Upon a Zombie were interesting dolls with the glass eyes, and wondered what Monster High could look like if they were designed like them.
