What's a Dupre 3rd-floor double room like? Space expectations?

Hi everyone! I'm an incoming first year student and got assigned to a double room on the third floor of Dupre Hall.

I checked out Macalester's dorm tour videos on YouTube, but couldn't seem to find any showcasing a Dupre double room (I only saw the singles, which looked a bit on the smaller side). Because of that, I'm a little worried about whether all my stuff will fit.

A couple of quick questions for anyone who has lived there:

Bed Lofting & Mini Fridge: I already bought a mini fridge. Can our beds be raised/lofted high enough to fit the fridge underneath?

Dealing with the Heat: I know the dorms don't have A/C, and I'm worried it might get too hot when school starts. What kind of fan works best to stay comfortable? I'm currently looking at these three options and would love to hear your experiences or recommendations!

Thanks so much in advance for sharing your advice!

How to get onto the waitlist when a course is full and closed for registration?

Hi everybody, I'm a first-year student and going through the registration process.

I really want to register for a lab section that is already full and closed (showing "closed 0" for open seats). When I emailed the professor, he said he's unable to reserve a seat for me and the time open for the waitlist is the same as registration.

So I thought when the registration time comes, if I register for a class that's full, I'll be directly put onto the waitlist, but I was blocked doing so. Is it because the course is not only full but also closed that blocked me out of the waitlist? I’m so confused…
