For a couple of weeks I was dealing with some dryness and a slightly weird “dry” smell down there. I started thinking maybe even the fragrance-free soap I was using was too harsh. My old routine was basically retracting and washing directly with a bit of soap every shower.

A while ago I decided to stop doing that and just rinse with warm water instead. Since then, the dryness has completely gone away, my glans looks and feels healthier again, and ironically everything smells cleaner than before.

I guess I was disrupting the natural balance by over-washing with soap.

So if anyone else is dealing with dryness or irritation, maybe try keeping it simple and just using warm water for a bit. It worked surprisingly well for me :)
