OOTD: Creature Comforts (they/them)

Disclaimer: I have over a decade of mass-produced clothing, primarily Torrid and Hot Topic, in my closet from before I started researching how clothes are truly made. I am continuing to love, wear, and repair these pieces because I believe this to be the most ethical action I can take. I list where all my clothing comes from for transparency, but I do not endorse purchasing from these brands. Whenever possible, please shop secondhand or support independent, sustainable, and ethical slow fashion. I am always happy to share more about the true environmental and human cost of textile manufacturing in 2026.

8/14/2026 #1: Tricky lab work so wanted a comfy outfit. Torrid overalls, belt, and boots. Fashion Brand Company tee. Rather Keen earrings.

OOTD: Corporate Western (they/them)

7/30/2026: Was testing some gastric (aka special) stains at work today which are beautiful and much prettier to look at than IHC (immunohistochemistry) stains but they are messy and will ruin clothes if they come in contact. Obviously I wear a lab coat and gloves but I still like to dress in dark clothes JIC. Then I went to a book bedazzling class after work. I've never bedazzled before and was humbled by how long it takes lol. Will have to do the rest on my own but I really wanted to finish the plane. Top, pants, and boots are all Torrid from their Festi line a while back. Coyote bolo by Heliotrope. Earrings from a local craft fair.

7/23/2026: First day back to work after a long break is always really hard for me so I gave myself an A+ in business. Was also still hiding a surgical diaper so chose my widest pants and no one was the wiser (well I guess they are now lol).

OOTDs: Crying in a Comped Hotel (they/them)

7/20/2026 and 7/22/2026: Started the day at Golden Gate Park which was beautiful but I started having some very heavy surgical bleeding and had to put on a med diaper. Then the construction at SFO delayed our plane for so long that we missed our connecting flight in SLC. Flights to my airport aren't that frequent so we had to stay the night in SLC. The airline wouldn't pay for transportation so we had to take the train and then walk which is how I learned that SLC has the biggest city blocks of any city in the US. It was also over 100 and like 80% humidity. It was almost 1am by the time we got to the hotel. All while bleeding. I was in so much pain. Not the most fun day. But the fit was cute.

Fashion Brand Company tee and skirt. Torrid flannel, leggings, and boots. Flannel and boots were thrifted. Min & Mon bag. Litin Designs earrings.
