My friend wants to own a wolfdog as a first-time owner despite having little to no experience with dogs, any advice ?
Hi, i've been a part-time dogwalker/petsitter for 8 years living in Europe and i have a question...
(pardon me if English isn't my first language, btw)
Recently, one of my friends living in France decided to own a Czechoslovakian wolfdog puppy in August despite having limited experience with dogs in general - but as well as having chronic/mental health issues, living in a small apartment in the city (and being in a rocky relationship with her bf to top all that.)
She's been ignoring most of my advice, telling me she wouldn't have any issues as her and her bf intend to get the puppy "pre-trained" at 6 months old from one of her acquaintances - who has a breeding facility and is a canine educator, according to my friend.
Also she refuses to do proper research on the internet and would only listen to everything the breeder says..
I'm very concerned that she might not handle a highly-energetic, highly-intelligent outdoorsy animal in her stage in life.
I was wondering if anyone in this sub had any similar experiences/advice that i can give her ?
Thanks everyone !
