Indoor activity ideas?

Its getting back into the rainy season here and mine come indoors when it rains. When its raining for days on end though and im not able to let them physically exercise as much, I need indoor alternatives lol. Im wondering if there are any im not doing that you guys know about.

As of right now we do frozen kongs, lick mats, and wobblers which they go through pretty fast. Any other ideas i can add to the rotation? Mars and my new rescue cat, Hazel, for attention lol

Is this a wolf or a wolf dog? Located in south Italy

Asking because this “wolf” was found rummaging through trash, but I believe it might belong to an irresponsible neighbor that allows their dogs to roam without a leash, one of these dogs being a wolf dog.

Only reason I’m not sure is because I’ve only been told about it by a family member and I’ve never encountered the unleashed dog myself so I wouldn’t be able to recognize it

The weather was super nice today

Oona was happy to spend the afternoon sniffing around the field and relaxing in the shade.

Bathing a high content (she's actually really good in the bath)

Faedra is 95+% wolf but easier to bathe than my German Shepherd.

Thoughts?

Wolfdog? Or just Belgian sheepdog/German shepherd? She is extremely watchful. High stress at the moment and we ware working with her. Every sound seems to put her on edge and cause a lot of lip licking. Though she will let me pet her but rarely comes up to me. Rather just lays down next to me watching always. She can cllimb and is an escape artist.

Her mannerisms seem more wolf like but I'm not as familiar with the Belgian shepherd/sheepdog. She loafs when laying down. Always has to follow so she can watch you carefully. Jumpy. Twitchy.

Hard to believe this is the same dog

There's only a 3 month difference between this pictures! Im just very glad we're out of the really ugly puppy phase.

Atlas is currently 7 months old.

Astrid seeing the world.

We're pretty into hiking and my wolfsky is learning how to do everything with me. It's wild to me how unstimulated she was and how everything's just so new to her still it's like having a three month old puppy and a one yearish-old dog's body. It has been having her tent camp. She snuggles right in to me under the quilt, the last few nights since it's been cold

Today we had a…

Meet the Trainer and Greet a Wolfdog at my job and Symphony did so well! We educated so many people which is why I wasn’t able to get many pics, but I got these! 🥰 I also handed out these flyers for educational purposes 🥰

(I did have permission to take the pic with the kids but I never post people’s kids faces online - that’s not my place)

Future Oregon wolfdog sanctuary dream

As some of you know it is my dream to one day open a wolfdog sanctuary:

Over the past week I’ve been reaching out to sanctuaries, veterinarians, county planning departments, and local rural businesses to better understand what it would realistically take to responsibly start a wolfdog sanctuary in Oregon someday.

One of the biggest things I’m learning is how important proper containment and infrastructure are. From visiting sanctuaries and researching enclosure systems, I’ve already learned about:
- 8-foot fencing setups
- overhang/top sections designed to discourage climbing
- dig guards and ground containment systems
- double-gated entry systems
- large enclosure sizing requirements
- and the use of heavy-duty fencing similar to what’s sometimes used for highway wildlife/deer containment

I’ve also:
- contacted multiple sanctuaries and rescues
- spoken with county planning departments regarding zoning and conditional use permits
- reached out to veterinarians regarding wolfdog care and long-term medical considerations
- started gathering fencing and excavation company information to better understand infrastructure costs and requirements

The more I learn, the more respect I gain for the amount of planning, responsibility, and long-term commitment required to do something like this correctly.

Thank you to everyone who has offered advice, recommendations, and encouragement so far.

I've always been curious

We got this lovely one when he was a small pup, he was marked as a German shepherd/Akita mix. But obviously as he's gotten older, it's become questionable.

We want to get him tested, but not sure what the best company to use is. But also just curious if anyone has any opinions of what he may be?

Does this look like a low content wolfdog?

I got this puppy from a random lady at a bar who was feeding her slim Jim’s. She’s 10 weeks old now. I don’t think the lady knows exactly what her dogs are but they had a litter of puppies. Some look really shepherd. But she said she’s husky/malmute/lab/shepherd/pitt/wolf. Does she actually look like a wolf at all? I put pics of the parents and some of the siblings as well. She’s the smallest of the siblings I’ve seen. She’s really friendly with both my little corgi mix and my 50lb husky/beagle mix.

Is it malnourished?

I saw this wolf advertised as 100% Mexican grey wolf today, but it seemed quite small to be one? Any odds it is mixed with a dog? I’m not even sure it was properly fed…
