[K.O. INC] Turn your opponent’s slow cards into ash! (New card reveal)

The first set of cards is almost complete!
Also, I adjusted the transparency of the white box behind the effect text so the text is easier to read.

I created a 4-page image rulebook for my card game. Please let me know what is missing or could be improved in it.

If anything feels unclear, confusing, or difficult to understand, I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks for taking a look!

First Rulebook Draft – Looking for Feedback

I've included a card image for context, since some mechanics depend on the card layout (SPD, ATK, DEF, and HP rotation). I'm mainly looking for feedback on the rulebook itself rather than the card design.

If anything feels unclear, confusing, or difficult to understand, I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks for taking a look!

# K.O. INC Rulebook

## 1. Overview

K.O. INC is a two-player card game. Players may either use a pre-built 5-card deck or distribute cards through a draft before starting the game.

---

## 2. Info

* Players: 2

* Components: Cards, Dice

* Average Play Time: 10 minutes

---

## 3. Card Anatomy

**Name**

Displayed in the upper-right corner of the card.

**Race**

Displayed below the card's name.

**Speed (SPD)**

Displayed in the upper-left corner of the card. Speed is only used to determine turn order when a card is revealed.

**Attack (ATK)**

Displayed on the left side of the card.

**Defense (DEF)**

Displayed on the right side of the card.

**Effect**

Displayed below the ATK and DEF values.

---

## 4. Gameplay

* Each player takes all 5 cards from their deck into their hand.

* Both players choose 1 card from their hand and place it face-down. The chosen cards are then revealed simultaneously.

* The first cards are placed facing each other.

* Additional cards are placed adjacent to the player's existing cards, extending the row in the same direction.

* The player whose newly revealed card has the higher SPD takes the first turn of the round.

* If both cards have the same SPD, each player rolls a six-sided die. The higher result takes the first turn.

* If only one player is able to reveal a card, that player takes the first turn.

* If neither player reveals a card, the turn order from the previous round is repeated.

* During their turn, a player may use Active Effects and attack in any order.

* Each face-up card may attack once per turn.

* To attack, choose one or more friendly cards and one opposing card as the target.

* Roll a six-sided die.

* If the die result plus the total ATK of the attacking cards is equal to or greater than the target's current DEF, the attack succeeds and the target loses 1 HP.

* If the attack fails, nothing happens.

* A card's DEF values are displayed on the right side of the card.

* When a card is at maximum HP, use the leftmost DEF value.

* Whenever a card loses HP, rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise.

* The card's current DEF becomes the next DEF value to the right.

* The shield icon indicates the correct orientation.

* When a card would lose HP but has no remaining DEF values, it is turned face-down and is considered **KO'd**.

* A player loses the game when 3 or more of their cards have been KO'd.

---

## 5. Effect Types

**Active**

May be used once per turn at the controller's choice.

**Passive**

Remains in effect as long as the card is face-up.

**Special**

A rare effect that can only be used when its specified condition is met.

Redesigned the Card Frame + First Card

I redesigned the card frame (the first image is the newest version).

Not sure if the frame and art style fit together perfectly yet, but I'm pretty happy with the direction so far.

The first set will include 18 cards. I'll also be putting together a proper rulebook and will share it soon. (auto translated)

Feedback on Card Frame and Rare Design

I’ve been making homemade TCGs and board games as a hobby for around 6 years.

Recently, I discovered The Game Crafter, and my current goal is to eventually publish my game there.

I’m working on both the game design and artwork entirely by myself.

I recently finished designing the card frame and card back, so I wanted to share the development progress and hear some design opinions and feedback.

In particular, I feel like the Prism rarity card in the second image has a problem where the artwork pops too far out in front of the frame, which makes the overall design feel messy or broken.
How would you improve or solve this issue?

Also, I’m curious whether it’s easy to find people in this community to play on Tabletop Simulator together.
