Cleaning Solution Alternatives?

I recently purchased the X8 Pro Omni Care package from Costco. I used it a few times so far, and it’s been a great job.

The kit from Costco did not include any clean solution, so I’ve just been using water. I’d love to be able to add a solution directly to the reservoir in the station, and I was wondering if people had recommendations for alternatives to the expensive Ecovac solution. It does look like several people add some alternatives to the water tank, but I feel like the reservoir would be a better option for me.

That being said, I did go ahead and order one bottle of the Ecovac cleaning solution to at least test it out.

I also saw people mentioning purchasing from Aliexpress. Does anyone have an official link? All I can find is what appears to be knockoffs.

Using Claude Code to clean up my Home Assistant YAML?

I’ve been running Home Assistant for a few weeks after switching over from Homebridge, and overall I’m loving the extra control. That said, I’ve got some recurring edge cases that pop up every now and then, plus some messy config that’s hard to track down manually.

I’ve seen people mention using Claude Code and I’m interested. I’m not looking to pay for it long-term as some kind of ongoing “smart home assistant,” but I’d consider a one-month subscription just to do a deep clean and sort out the edge cases/little hiccups.

Questions:

  1. Can I just point Claude Code at my whole config folder (all the YAML at once), or do I need to feed it automations one at a time?
  2. Same question for general housekeeping — can it scan the entire config, or does it need to be broken up?

Update: I guess less config cleanup and more entity renaming, and some general organization.
