Crews will begin work on Strawberry Hill Avenue (between Colonial Road and Holbrook Drive) to facilitate the installation of two underground vaults. During the week, traffic will operate under an alternating lane pattern Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to the size and depth of the vault excavations and crane installation, a Saturday detour will be required. Additional information about this detour will be provided once available.
Crews will continue work on Vine Road (near Barmore Drive) to facilitate the installation of two underground vaults. During the week, traffic will operate under an alternating lane pattern Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Due to the size and depth of the vault excavations and crane installation, a portion of Vine Road between Barmore Drive and Pamlynn Road will be closed Saturday, July 11th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to allow for crane placement, splice vault delivery, duct bank installation, and setting the vault within the excavation. While the detour is active, only local traffic will be allowed to access areas within the detour.
In support of the ongoing construction activities this week, Aquarion will be continuing water pipeline relocations on Newfield Avenue (between Sanford Lane and Case Road) and Colonial Road. Traffic will operate under an alternating lane pattern at both locations Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Additionally, we will be actively working on the following streets, excavating as part of the underground duct bank installation process:
• Colonial Road between Strawberry Hill Avenue and Pilgrim Walk
• Vine Road between Pepper Ridge Road and High Ridge Road
• Scofield Avenue between Hope Street and Glenbrook Road
This work will take place Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic will operate under an alternating lane pattern.
