private accom as a fresher

hi everyone, unfortunately i missed the unis guaranteed accommodation deadline and so now i’ve been told by the admissions office it’s not likely i’ll get uni halls and to start looking at private accom. I’m so lost when it comes to private accom so if anyone knows about them could someone let me know as a fresher who really wants to make friends and wants the classic freshers experience which private accom is the best? the admissions office told me freshers typically pick orion point or southampton crossing, but i’ve seen on tik tok that orion point is dead.

anyway please do let me know i’m genuinely freaking out about this, i’m so upset im having to pay international fees to go to my insurance uni and i don’t even have accom😭😭 help would be so greatly appreciated!

Not meeting grades

Hi everyone! Im currently sitting my a levels but I’m a bit worried about meeting my offer (AAB) because I’m pretty sure I flunked my bio exam, which is the one subject I need an A in oops. I really really dont wanna resit but I also really want to go to uob as it’s my dream school. Some people have told me some unis accept you even if you dont meet their offer, so has anyone on here had that experience? If so could you let me know what your offer was and what you got just so i could see if i even have a chance lol. I’ve also heard its based on what course you do, I applied for what I think is a course with not a very large cohort, and they also gave me an offer even tho i didnt meet their entry requirements initially.
Thank you so much!!
