I feel like this is the OJ trial but with gender instead of race

And I think she’ll get off because she’s a conventionally pretty, thin, “mom”with an old white man authoritarian lawyer and the DA’s are chubby and somewhat annoying.

Possible motive:

I wrote this in response to another thread but I’m making it its own post because I’m not convinced I’m wrong and just wondering what people think:

I think it’s possible her motive was attention. Those notes we saw Thursday were written to be read by someone later. That is not the way a journal naturally sounds. It’s a crazy theory but I actually think it’s possible she has a Cluster B personality disorder and never loved her kids because she wasn’t capable of it. In this scenario everything in her life was externally focused and for attention, even if that attention is negative. Every time she had a baby, every issue with each baby, including her “PPD,” Dawson’s “difficulty”and the extreme measures in sleep training with Callan helped create the scenario that she’s this long suffering mother (similar to a Munchausen/Munchausen by proxy situation).

So…she starts fantasizing about being an Andrea Yates type and the massive amount of attention and sympathy she would get being the poster child for PPP, which she obviously knows about being a Labor and Delivery nurse. It would give her an identity. If her drive for more children is all about attention and her persona as a mother, killing them in a state of psychosis would certainly be a way to ramp that up and become world famous as such. And in the New Yorker article Pat says Lindsay wants to be an advocate for postpartum issues 🙄

I know this is a crazy theory for a possible motive but honestly everything else is too. I also think it’s possible there was some revenge against Pat for being checked out in one way or another.

I think she hated Dawson and it all devolved from there.

She likely killed him first and then the other two. I can’t diagnose her but my guess would be psychopathic malignant narcissism and a woman who loved babies (or the attention babies bring) but not kids. Not little people with real and complex personalities. And I think she was and still is addicted to getting attention in every form it takes, including negative attention. She could even be enjoying this trial in some sick way.

The conspiracy theories that Patrick did it are nauseating and stupid. The only accusation I could imagine against him was that possibly he was checked out of the marriage in one form or other. That could lend itself to this being a Medea syndrome form of spousal revenge (and thus attention back to her).

She is a monster as much as any other murderer in prison is a monster. The only reason this trial is even being questioned is that she’s a somewhat affluent, attractive, fit, white lady. It’s cognitive dissonance on the public’s part that she’s any different from other killers (who, by virtue of being murderers, all have some form of mental illness). PPP was created by the defense (probably based on the Yates trial) and was never even mentioned prior to the murders.

It’s so disheartening to see her portrayed as the victim by at least half the public. Lindsay Clancy is the villain. The children were the victims. If we’re going to pry apart her brain to find justification, let’s go look at Brian Kohberger and look back at Ted Bundy, and the Zodiac Killer, etc etc and find sympathy in their psychoses. If you disagree with this point, tell me why. Why are they different?

In my observation watching the trial and the very competent doctors she saw, all this medical psych stuff is a red herring (as well as a defense) to turn our attention away from not just who she really is but, most importantly, what she did.

Is it a bad idea to use name for my new fragrance business that’s also the name of an untrademarked rum company?

I have the name I absolutely want for my new business—it fits in with the brand story perfectly and after months and months of consideration I landed on it. It passes all tests including uspto and domain. However in doing last minute due diligence, I discovered there is a relatively unknown rum company in the United States using the name. I don’t know how I missed it but there it is. AI says even though they’re different categories there’s still a risk of confusion due to the nature of the lifestyle marketplace.

Is this true? Do I have to start over?
