So we (family of 4) are moving from Australia to KL in December. I’m weighing up whether it’s worth shipping all of our stuff in a shipping container or if I’m better off selling everything here and buying everything new in KL.
However, I don’t know how much everything will cost and I’m finding it difficult to find Malaysian furniture websites.

So, what are the affordable furniture stores over there?

Also, in Australia we have JB Hi Fi that sells all of your electronics in one place. What is the Malaysian equivalent? I’m particularly looking at TVs and movies, and kitchen appliances.

feeling overwhelmed with organising an overseas move.
I’m packing up a 4 bedroom house to ship overseas (SE Asia) and I’m having trouble finding consistent quotes. The most accurate one I’ve gotten for my circumstance is $16k for a 40ft container but that seems a bit steep.

Has anyone had experience with shipping container companies? Would love some guidance on pricing and advice on what to look out for / what not to do / things to consider.

This is my first time moving houses, let alone it being out of the country.
