Gut check 5 day Mallorca itinerary?
Hi! Headed to Mallorca for the first time at the end of October, myself, husband and his parents (55 yo). We are all in good health (can handle long walks, hiking, swimming etc), and I’m not sure when we’ll be back.
With that in mind, we really want to hit any “MUST sees” … without turning the trip into a checklist / keeping some leisure and relaxing moments.
We also love food, but don’t need Michelin recommendations. Local favorites, must try’s are the preference :)
My husband made the below itinerary… Let us know what you think! Anything we’re missing? Are we biting off more than we can chew?
Oct 26 - arrival / relaxation day: Fly in around lunchtime and check in at St. Regis Mardavall for first two nights. Lunch by the water at Mar Sea Club, easy afternoon at hotel before Siso Beach for dinner
Oct 27 - arrival / relaxation day: Cala Comtessa in the morning, spend the afternoon enjoying the hotel. Possible sunset drink or cruise before Mesón Son Caliu for dinner
Oct 28 - hotel transfer and road trip: Transfer hotels to Castillo son Vida. drive the southwest coast to Port d’Andratx and Sant Elm, harbor lunch and short coastal walk, Bellver Castle on the way back toward Palma → check into Castillo Son Vida → dinner at Ca’n Pedro
Oct 29: Tramuntana day through Valldemossa → Deià → Sóller → reserved lunch at Ca’n Pintxo → wander Sóller square → return through the Ma-11 tunnel before dark → Casa Maruka for dinner.
We’re treating this as the main Mallorca sightseeing day. We intentionally skipped Formentor. We’d also consider one genuinely worthwhile olive-oil experience, but only if it fits naturally?
Oct 30 — day in Palma: Palma Cathedral and terraces → Old Palma and La Lonja → Ca’n Joan de s’Aigo → Mercat de l’Olivar for lunch → optional Fundació Miró if energy allows → drinks at Es Princep rooftop around sunset → La Rosa Vermutería for dinner.
Is anything badly sequenced or unrealistic? Any restaurants here that locals would replace? Are we missing anything essential, or is the pace about right?
