PS5 Pro player loads into ARC Raiders about 5 seconds earlier than PC player

Hi everyone,

I occasionally play ARC Raiders with a friend. He plays on a PS5 Pro, while I play on PC.

At first, I used to load into the game slightly before him. However, for some time now, the situation has been reversed: he now loads into the game approximately 5 seconds earlier and can already move around while I am still loading.

Interestingly, this started happening after I switched from a 1 Gbit/s cable connection to a 1 Gbit/s fiber-optic connection.

What could be causing this? Could it be related to the different platforms, my SSD, graphics settings, shader or texture streaming, or possibly the internet connection?

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER

PS5 Pro plötzlich schneller als mein PC?

Hi Leute,

ich zocke seit längerem gelegentlich mit einem Freund ARC Raiders – er auf einer PS5 Pro und ich auf dem PC.

Anfangs war ich im Spiel noch kurz vor ihm. Seit einiger Zeit ist es allerdings umgekehrt: Er ist mittlerweile (witzigerweise nach meinem umstieg von Kabel 1000 auf Glasfaser 1000) ungefähr 5 Sekunden früher im Spiel und kann sich bereits bewegen, während ich noch lade.

Woran könnte das liegen? Kann das an der unterschiedlichen Plattform, der SSD, den Grafikeinstellungen, dem Shader- oder Texture-Streaming oder möglicherweise an der Internetverbindung liegen?
