Need root canal treatment but can't afford it

I have an issue with my upper back left molar which has been ongoing for over a year and a half. My dentist originally put a filling in place and since then I have had issues with my tooth causing me pain and being sensitive to hot and cold food/drink. My dentist after using a medicated filling and then putting in another permanent one decided to refer me for a root canal which unfortunately via the NHS I was rejected as I did not qualify or something? My issue is, my dentist won't help me and keep telling me to call an emergency dentist for them to solve my issue. I did exactly that, I went and visited an emergency dentist and they gave me antibiotics and told me to go private for a root canal and could not help me either. They also explained my root is curved and it is a complex issue. I explained I am on universal credit and do not have a job currently and I cannot afford it. I dont know what to do, I am stuck, nobody will help me and I am in so much pain. Please could anyone from the UK advise? I am from London. Thank you.
