I posted a few days ago asking about any differences between Visible Home Internet and Verizon Home Internet to see if there was any catch since it doesn’t seem to be speed capped and the price was cheaper. Turns out the catch is that the service is in no way comparable to Verizon Home Internet. After struggling to even get the modem connected to the network, my download speeds are MAYBE 5-7mbps and upload speeds around 1-2mbps. The router sits in the same spot my Verizon router was in, and my Verizon router would usually get 90ish mbps, so it’s not that it’s just sitting in a location with bad reception. Looks like I unfortunately wasted $50.

I've had Verizon 5G Home internet for a couple years now since it was discounted by $10/month if you have Visible service. However, the Verizon plan I have is only up to 100mbps and is $40/month after the discount, while I'm not seeing any mention of a limit with the Visible plan, plus it's another $10 cheaper at only $30/month.

Why would they offer this and what's the catch? Is it deprioritized compared to the Verizon internet plan? And if I choose to just keep the Verizon 5G internet plan, will I lose the discount now that Visible offers an internet plan?
