referral code activation

currently it seems like visible’s referral code system is down through check out, no codes are working even when they are super recent and should be valid ): after speaking with live chat, they can manually apply a referral code but i also need the users email or phone number to verify.

If anyone is willing to dm me their code AND either their phone number or email i will be eternally grateful (and you’ll get the 20 bucks lol)

thanks so much!

Can you port a phone # using a p sim?

I'm currently with Tracfone. My phone is an unlocked '23 Moto G play 5g and isn't compatible according to its IMEI which I heard is a bunch of bull. Would I be able to port my phone number if I go to Best Buy, pick up a sim kit and pop it into the phone?

Multiple lines

I’m unclear from looking at the Visible site- is each line a separate account or can you have two lines on one account?

Upgrade two phones to iphone17

I wish to purchase two iphone17 for both users in my Visible circle. We each have separate accounts but I pay both plan bills. I want to use Affirm for both purchases and my credit (high score, low credit use). I am not able to add two phones to the shopping cart. Do I just create two separate purchases?

Is Visable the best low cost carrier ?

Went down the rabbit hole a bit to find all the Verizon low cost carriers. I found several others, but just by website alone scared me off. Anyone tried others?

When is a good time to switch from the Legacy 1 Visible plan to the new Visible+?

Has anyone else done that switch and noticed improvements? I'm currently using the Legacy 1 plan for phone and hotspot. Mostly looking at switching for better hotspot speeds. Current bill is the $30/month - $5 discount for a total of $25/month.

Is there a good time of year to wait for where I'd be likely to catch a good price on the Visible+ plan? I haven't checked on possible plan discounts in a few years and it looks like there's been some pretty good ones periodically.

Also, any notable differences in service I should know of between the Legacy and new plans? Are there only improvements with the new plans, or is there anything on the Legacy plan I might not want to lose by switching?

Question about purchasing new phone and starting with visible

Hi everyone! I’m one of the many people now leaving T-Mobile! My mom and I have been researching what will be the most affordable, especially for the two of us ( we were on the 55+ plan so we’re only paying 45 a month until all this BS)

Visible+ seems like the best option for us. As I look, it looks like if I want to get a new phone, I can and it is free overnight shipping! So I should be able to get the new plan and phone with one purchase.

Is there a reason I’d want to go elsewhere for the phone?

I read two things:

  1. Someone on here said they bought their phone with visible (which really you’re buying through affirm) and they had wanted to leave and visible “contract” with the phone said they had to stay for a year? I just want clarification on that because it seemed to me like you’re financing your phone separately and should be able to leave whenever you want and continue paying it off but I could be wrong!
  2. I kept reading people saying buy your phone first and wait for it to arrive and then buy your plan? Was that before they offered free overnight shipping or is the overnight shipping not truly “overnight”

I also wanted to know how smooth the transition of moving your eSIM to visible and then moving your phone to the newer phone has been for you all?

We will be switching to visible sometime next week so hoping I can get some answers!

Thanks!

Thank you Ruslan 😊

I wanted to thank Ruslan for using my promo code on the 16th. I occasionally post them in the super thread when I remember. June was a very expensive month for us with a large vet bill from our senior dog and the 20 off credit was a nice surprise! Thanks again!

Switching from Verizon as family

How would I switch from Verizon as family (4 lines) and join Visible as visible inner circle right away?

Anyone had this issue?

I bought my s24 Ultra new unlocked from Amazon, use it on Tmobile but when trying to start a trial or even see if my phone is eligible with Visible my IMEI on Visibles website says locked. I got it confirmed by Tmobile that my phone is carrier unlocked and even on Verizons website their IMEI checker says my phone is unlocked. Is there any work around for this I really want to try out Visible.

Visible unable to bill my card

Been a customer for exactly one month and Visible is already a total circus.

Got an alert today saying my auto-pay card failed (even though it worked perfectly fine the last two charges(added home internet mid month)). I get on the phone with support(3rd rep called me after first 2 ghosted me in chat), add a backup card... and that fails too.

Then, the rep straight-up asks for my account password. Red flags everywhere, but I’m just trying to pay my bill. Even with my actual password, he still can't get it to work.

He goes to talk to his manager, comes back, and tells me to just "try again tomorrow" because I have 24 hours before they shut my account off. Their brilliant troubleshooting plan is to wait and see if it miraculously works tomorrow, and if not, "they'll have all day to work on it."

I have been a customer for literally four weeks. This is hands down the most broken, messed-up experience I’ve ever had with a massive company. 🤡 📱 📡 He did give me a whole $5 credit for my trouble though?

Anyone else experenceing this billing issue today?

What info do I need to switch from Verizon

Have been lurking for awhile. From what I've read probably better to get physical Sim? What else do I need before switching?

Global Pass experience

I just returned from a trip to the UK and France and used my Global Passes for the first time. Overall, I had a positive experience. I got some great tips from other Redditors and followed the instructions and tips in the Visible app, including activating before leaving the US, activating data roaming and turning the phone on and off upon entering each travel pass country. I have an iPhone 13 PM and Visible +Pro account.

I didn't have enough free passes for the entire trip and used Roamless data esim to cover three days. iMessage and FaceTime worked fine over Roamless, however RCS did not. I also didn't use two passes on the days I traveled between the UK and France. I also had to restart my phone after I got back in the US in order to get Visible service.

After seeing the horror stories on Reddit, I thought I'd share my positive experience. It would be great if Visible would allow users to bank more than 12 days on the monthly plan.

Spam calls getting out of hand and filling up voicemail

Wondering if it's just me, but over the past few months I've been getting 10-15 spam calls a day about loan applications or tax relief. Always from a different number. Fills up my voicemail. Is it just me? And if not, anyone share any tips for dealing with this? I do always delete and block sender, but obviously since they always use a different number...(on iPhone)

Why Verizon over visible?

I’m currently on my family’s business plan but time to break off. Looking at a new carrier and I don’t understand why I would go to Verizon if Visible uses the same network and cheaper. What am I missing?

FUCK Visible.

TLDR: It's been 9 days since I joined Visible & tried to port in my phone number. Their system failed. I have had NO service this ENTIRE time, and they keep looping over the same issue. I am BEYOND pissed.

I have spent over a week trying to port my number from US Mobile to Visible, and Visible keeps having the same "glitch" where their system isn't sending a port request over successfully.

I purchased the Visible sim card from Best Buy. Check.

I requested the port out info from US Mobile a week before my service with them ended. Check.

I requested the port via the Visible app after following the instructions on both the sim card packaging & the app/website. Check.

I waited 3 whole days without any change or update from Visible before I finally reached out directly, requesting customer service to look into the issues.

Visible only sent the port request AFTER I personally reached out.

Since then, there has been absolutely zero change.

I have spent HOURS chatting and speaking with Visible CS to try & figure out the issue.

I shouldn't have even had to do so in the first place.

The first rep that spoke with me over the phone promised to call me back the next day & told me not to start another virtual chat with another rep so my case wouldn't get muddled. I followed her instructions. She never called me back.

I have now spoken over the phone with 3 separate Visible reps to no avail.

The issue STILL hasn't been resolved 9 days later.

Meanwhile, US Mobile hasn't received a port out request from Visible this entire time. I've checked almost every day. Thankfully, US Mobile's customer service is fast & reliable. They extended my phone network service as a courtesy til Visible could get its shit together--which (surprise, surprise) I ended up needing because the original activation code and pin they provided expired by the time Visible had escalated my case to their porting team.

Visible just called me again to notify me of the exact same issue.

There's been no change. I've been without data for going on 10 days. Visible is taking its sweet time.

Upset is an understatement. I'd thought US Mobile's sign-on experience was bad: when I first signed up with them over a year ago, I spent 2 hours setting up service with them, manually inputting APN's on my Samsung device because they didn't have a seamless transfer for Samsung devices at the time. But this? This takes the cake.

Oh--and the cherry on top? All the while Vi**sible's been billing me for no service.

FUCK Visible. If they finally get their shit together then maybe I'll stay to see what the hype's about. But if they don't figure it out soon I'm going back to US Mobile. US Mobile's service & data speeds might not be the best for where I live, but it beats having no service & wasting valuable time and money waiting around on Visible.

- - -

(I'm only just now seeing the posts about porting during regular business hours. Welp. Too little, too late. Visible should really add a disclaimer to their site and packaging if that's the case.)

Trying Visible free trial now.

No WiFi where we are. Only Verizon towers are working.
Three issues while using the free trials, before I sign up. ISO of solutions (tried chat - is no help):

  1. Cannot text iPhone to android.
  2. Can I use hotspot on iPad and also FaceTime?
  3. FaceTime calls are going to WhatsApp! Why?

Visible is the greatest service ever

Verizon has been long known as the most reliable carrier in my world & I believe Visible is the greatest service ever especially for us tech savy people who dont need customer service or physical stores to go to. 10/10 in my book.

Just made the switch from T-Mobile

On month-to-month +Pro using code SUMMER. Completely painless process. My port-in took only a few minutes. Activating my watch added another couple minutes. And my download speeds are now double what they used to be with my previous carrier.

Ask if you have any questions regarding my experience. And thanks to all the members on this sub for giving so much valuable info before I joined!

EDIT: Location is San Diego

Overseas for study abroad and cannot unlock my phone to activate an eSIM. Advice needed.

I’m currently in Indonesia for a study abroad. I should’ve realized that my phone was not paid off and therefore I’m unable to unlock it and download and eSIM for service here. But even so, Visible is saying that if I pay off the phone today, I would still have to wait about 9 months (I bought the phone 3 months ago) until I’m eligible to unlock my phone by request. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?

I’ve been alright so far, but I cannot access maps, emergency services, text, or ride share apps to name a few, unless I’m connected to WiFi, which is spotty in the area I’m in.

I understand I signed the T&C but it seems shady that they can still have ownership for up to a year after purchase. Thank you for any help.
