Good Morning, I am in the process of re- stating my inactive certificate. I was told the only way to re-instate is to take 150 hours of professional development and turn it in on a sheet to TEA account that shows my hours. BUT!! The person I spoke with yesterday (I still can’t believe/don’t quite understand) said we’re not actually going to Check on those hours, you just need to turn them in. Has anyone had this experience?

We will be moving there this summer, kids headed into 9 and 10th grades. We are coming from a small, international private school in South America. Question- how have your kids adjusted to such a huge student body? Are kids able to participate in activities even if they are not the top athlete? My kids will wa t to be involved with sports they like, but we are not pro level in anything. How does this work for kids “in the middle” so to speak? Outside of sports- are there enough things of interest for all kids to take part? I’m getting nervous about the sheer size of the school. Any thoughts appreciated.

Are there any “casual” dance programs or camps for 9 and 12 year old girls? What I mean by that is they love to take dance classes, but they are not fans of the recital/show part. Does anything like that exist in our area? Thanks!

I am in a class studying “cuentos” from around Latin America. I was given “El Dichoso Turis Turista” and I do speak basic Spanish but even with translation I do not understand this classic story! Can anyone give me a quick summary? I tried using dictionary and translate… thank you soooo much! Estoy en una clase estudiando cuentos de Latinoamérica. Me dieron "El Dichoso Turis Turista" y, aunque hablo español básico, ¡ni siquiera con traducción entiendo este cuento clásico! ¿Alguien podría darme un resumen rápido?
